The invention discloses the use of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, for producing vaccines. The vaccines are particularly suitable for controlling cancer diseases. Surprisingly, it has been found that low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, can be used both for preparing mature dendritic cells and directly, together with antigens or peptides or carrier systems, as an adjuvant in vaccines. It is likewise possible to couple the low molecular weight hyaluronic acid fragments, which can be suitably modified, where appropriate, to an antigen, peptide or carrier system. The coupled system can then be advantageously employed as a vaccine, in particular for treating cancer diseases.

Alkali metal ions are separated off from alkoxylates containing alkali metal ions by a process comprising: a) dilution of the alkali metal-containing alkoxylate with an inert solvent, b) treatment of the alkali metal-containing solution of the alkoxylate with a cationic exchanger in order to obtain a substantially alkali metal-free solution of the alkoxylate, and c) removal of the solvent from the substantially alkali metal-free solution of the alkoxylate in order to obtain a substantially alkali metal-free and substantially solvent-free alkoxylate.

A coaxial connector plug includes an inner insulating housing carrying a coaxial connector pin, where an outer grounding spring is positioned coaxially around the housing. The grounding spring is positioned within a sleeve member and a locking spring and outer sleeve are axially moveable between positions where locking arms of the locking spring are moveable to a position where a front edge of the locking arms is engaged with a corresponding surface of the sleeve member. The locking arms also include a locking projection which will reside in a peripheral groove of a mating jack connector when fully inserted thereto.
