摘要: A method is provided for the creation of an addendum for use in the design and production of sheet metal formed components, which method uses a sectionless approach. In a preferred approach, elevation curve (EC) lines are established relating to the component (ECc) and binder (ECb), and it is these lines which are used to design the addendum. Additional EC lines (EC1, EC2, EC3, etc.) can be added to modify or optimize the addendum design. The spaces between the EC lines are filled using various parameterized filling techniques so as to provide the addendum design. Optimization of the addendum can be achieved by modification of the various EC lines, so as to modify or control the various design parameters, in accordance with various quality or design criteria. A more rapid, and less complicated approach to addendum design is provided.

摘要: Fiber optic connectors for use in connecting and aligning two optical fibers. In one example embodiment, a fiber optic connector includes a body, a cylindrical split sleeve at least partially positioned within the body, and a shell at least partially positioned within the body and surrounding the split sleeve. The body defines an internal port and an external port. The split sleeve defines a slot along the length of the split sleeve and has first and second open ends. The first end is configured to receive and grip a ferrule of an internal optical fiber and the second end is configured to receive and grip a ferrule of an external optical fiber. The portion of the shell surrounding the first end has a greater inside clearance than the portion of the shell surrounding the second end.

摘要: A soluble donor-acceptor electrochromic polymer (DA-ECP) is prepared that absorbs light throughout at least the majority of the visible range and is essentially black to the human eye when in the neutral state, but is highly transmissive when electrochemically doped. The conjugated polymer has acceptor units separated by sequences of a plurality of donor units. The sequences can be monodispersed or polydispersed. The DA-ECP is prepared by the polycondensation of a plurality of at least one donor-acceptor oligomer (DA-oligomer) that has at least one internal acceptor repeating unit and at least one donor repeating unit on all termini of the oligomer, and optionally, a plurality of at least one donor monomer and/or donor oligomer.

摘要: The invention relates to isolated mutants of enzymes from the group of 2-deoxy-D-ribose 5-phosphate aldolase wild-type enzymes having a productivity factor (as determined by a specific test) which is at least 10% higher than the productivity factor for the corresponding wild-type enzyme from which it is a mutant. The mutants have at least one amino acid substitution at one or more of the positions corresponding to K13, T19, Y49, N80, D84, A93, E127, A128, K146, K160, I166, A174, M185, K196, F200, and S239 in Escherichia coli K12 (EC 4.1.2.4) wild-type enzyme sequence, and/or a deletion of at least one amino acid at the positions corresponding to S258 and Y259 therein, optionally combined with, specific, C-terminal extension and/or N terminal extension. The invention also relates to screening processes to find 2-deoxy-D-ribose 5-phosphate aldolase enzymes (either as such or as mutants) having a productivity factor (as determined by said specific test, which forms an essential part of the screening) which is at least 10% higher than the reference value. Moreover, the invention relates to mutant enzymes obtained by the screening process, and to nucleic acids encoding such mutants, and to vectors and host cells comprising, respectively, such nucleic acids or mutants. Finally the invention relates to the use of such (preferably mutant) enzymes, nucleic acids, vectors and host cells in the production of, for instance, 6-chloro-2,4,6-trideoxy-D-erythrohexapyranoside.

摘要: Method for providing target point candidates forming a candidate set for selecting a target point from the candidate set by means of a geodetic measuring device. The measuring device is coarsely oriented toward the target point, and an image is recorded in the sighting direction. A search process for certain target object candidates in the recorded image is performed by means of image processing and wherein at least one respective point representing the target object candidate is associated with each of the target object candidates as a target point candidate. Candidates are associated with a candidate set. respective weight values are derived according to at least one value of a predetermined target point property of the candidates and associated with the target point candidates. The target point candidates from the candidate set are each provided together with respective information representing the weight value associated with the target point candidate.
