摘要： An aqueous fabric conditioning composition comprises (a) 7.5 to 60% by weight of a cationic fabric softening compound of a quaternary ammonium softening compound, the compound having one or more hydrocarbyl chains formed from parent fatty acyl compounds or fatty acids having an iodine value of between 0 and 20, (b) 0.01%–1.5% by weight of a nonionic surfactant viscosity modifier and (c) optionally up to 1.4% by weight of a fatty alcohol wherein the combination of (b) and (c) is no more than 1.5% by weight of the composition and the composition comprises particles having a mean diameter of from 0.3 to 7 microns, measured using a Malvern Mastersizer.

摘要： The invention provides a laundry cleaning and/or care composition comprising, separately, a photo-bleach which is not a pro-fragrance (and which is preferably a singlet oxygen photo-bleach) and a pro-fragrance which is not itself a photo-bleach. The pro-fragrance preferably comprises at least one, non-aromatic, C—C double-bond, more preferably at least two C—C double-bonds, and can be advantageously be a commonplace lipid, more preferably a plant-oil. Suitable photo-bleaches comprise water-soluble phthalocyanine compounds. Preferably, the composition further comprises a shading dye to give an overall blue or violet hue to articles laundered, an optional fluorescer and/or a fabric-substantive polymer as a perfume deposition aid. Also disclosed is a method of laundering fabrics using said composition and the use of said composition to perfume fabrics.

摘要： The concentrated liquid fabric softening composition of the present invention comprises an ester-linked triethanolamine (TEA) quaternary ammonium fabric softening material having an Iodine Value of between 0 and 60 and comprising a mixture of at mono-, di- and tri-ester linked components; a single long chain cationic surfactant based on quaternized fatty acid amido-amine surfactants with optional ethoxylate groups and preferably having a methylsulphate counter-ion; and a co-fragmenting agent which is a polyol selected from trihydric and polyhydric polyols. The compositions have a desirable pearly appearance which is stable across a range of storage temperatures.

摘要： The invention provides a fabric softening composition comprising; (i) one or more cationic fabric softening compound(s) having two or more alkyl or alkenyl chains each having an average chain length equal to, or greater than, C8, and (iv) at least one oily sugar derivative which is a liquid or soft solid derivative of a cyclic polyol or of a reduced saccharide, said derivative resulting from 35 to 100% of the hydroxyl groups in said polyol or in said saccharide being esterified or etherified, and wherein, the derivative has two or more ester or ether groups independently attached to a C8-C22 alkyl or alkenyl chain, and (v) a deposition aid comprising a mixture of one or more nonionic surfactant(s), and one or more one cationic polymer(s), and wherein the weight ratio of the nonionic surfactant to the cationic polymer is in the range 10:1 to 1:10. The invention also provides a method of treating fabric with the above compositions.
