A matching circuit (30), which is reconfigured according to a switch (32) that is responsive to the antenna's position, provides the matching states. Furthermore, the switch (32) can be integrally formed as part of a feed terminal (36), the feed terminal (36) and a ground terminal (38) can hold the antenna in position, and the ground terminal (38) can hold a guiding tube (52). Alternatively, the switch (32) can include a diode (102) and a sensor. The sensor is a rod (46) of the antenna assembly that makes and breaks an electrical path between the feed terminal and the ground terminal to change the state of the diode.
