    摘要: An adjustable steering column assembly for a vehicle has an integral rake pivot joint carried between a mounting structure generally attached to the vehicle chassis and a support bracket that pivots about a pivot axis. A preferably telescoping shaft extends along a centerline and connects to a steering wheel at one end and is rotationally supported near an opposite end by the support bracket. Preferably, the pivot axis is orientated substantially perpendicular to the centerline. The pivot joint has a boss preferably elongated with respect to the pivot axis and generally orientated concentrically to the pivot axis. The boss fits pivotally in a bore disposed concentrically to the pivot axis and carried by the other of the mounting structure and support bracket. Preferably, a web portion of the boss projects through a slit extending axially and communicating radially inward with the bore.

    摘要: The invention provides a steering column assembly for a vehicle. The steering column assembly includes a steering column operable to adjustably support a steering wheel in the vehicle. The steering column is moveable along a path for collapsing movement relative to a vehicle in response to an impact situation. The steering column assembly also includes an energy absorber for dissipating energy associated with the collapsing movement of the steering column along the path. The energy absorber includes an anvil fixedly disposed relative to one of the steering column and the path. The energy absorber also includes a strap drawable over the anvil and substantially fixedly disposed relative to the other of the steering column and the path. The steering column assembly also includes a second strap fixedly disposed relative to one of the steering column and the path for dissipating energy associated with the collapsing movement of the steering column along the path. The steering column assembly also includes at least one quick release bolt engaged with the strap to selectively release the strap relative to the other of the steering column and the path. The at least one quick release bolt engages both of the strap and the second strap.

    摘要: When mounting the winding ends of a stator winding in a dynamo, at least an outer ring of synthetic resin saturated cord ring is wound in multiple windings on the winding ends in its plastically deformable state. The synthetic resin does not harden until after the cord ring is affixed. The outer ring is adapted to be installed in the cramped winding head space and is especially suitable for retrofitting purposes.

A tab extends from a slide to define a connection between the lever and the slide for moving the slide out of engagement with a tilt shoe thereby allowing rotation of the tilt shoe to the unlatched position. The connection, defined by the tab and opening, is spaced along the release lever from the lever axis and the distal end defined by a knob to provide compact packaging while retaining adequate mechanical advantage.

    摘要: In a device (1) for pressing in slot sealing pieces (12, 14) for winding bars (20) inserted into the slots of a stator laminated core of an electric machine, a plunger (8) is arranged by means of a force-generating device (4) in a collet (2) with a cam (3). In this arrangement, when slot sealing pieces are pressed in the cam (3) engages in an axial slit (11) of a first, upper prismatic body (12), and the plunger (8) acts on an end face (13) of a second, lower prismatic body (14).     摘要: Leaks in closed cooling systems containing an aqueous medium as the coolant, are sealed by electroless deposition of a metal or metal containing compound from a water soluble, easily reducible metal compound. A complexing agent may be added to the coolant to assist in solubilizing the easily reducible metal compound. In one embodiment, the reducible metal compound is formed in situ by attacking the conduit walls of the cooling system so as to form solubilized compounds, or compounds which can be solubilized by addition of suitable complexing agents.
