    摘要: A method is described for making a silicone emulsion. According to the method, there is formed a mixture of water, a cyclic siloxane, optionally a nonionic surfactant, and a cationic surfactant. There is then added to the mixture a polymerization initiator which can be a silanolate or an organosilanolate. The mixture is heated and agitated, and the cyclic siloxane is allowed to polymerize until an emulsion is formed. The benefit of this emulsion polymerization method is that the rate of emulsion polymer formation is enhanced. Thus, the method provides for the production of emulsions in a new and more efficient manner. The silicone emulsion will produce an elastomeric product when water is removed under ambient conditions.

    摘要: The preparation and applications of anionic siliconate-zeolite composites are disclosed. The composites are formed by coating the surface of zeolite particles with an aqueous solution of an anionic functional organosiliconate. The composites are particularly useful as components of soluble silicate containing detergent compositions since they do not agglomerate with the soluble silicates to form large insoluble particulates that can deposit on fabrics during laundry. Detergent compositions containing the composites are disclosed.

    摘要: Silicone primer compositions comprising the reaction product of a resinous copolymeric siloxane and an organosilane are disclosed. The compositions find particular utility in promoting the adhesion of curable silicone coating compositions, comprising a liquid copolymeric organopolysiloxane and a polydiorganosiloxane, to solid substrates. Priming metal substrates with the certain compositions of the present invention additionally imparts improved corrosion resistance thereto when the substrates are subsequently coated with the above mentioned silicone coating compositions.
