Provided are a conductive structure for a high gain antenna and an antenna. A plurality of conductive patterns (512) of the conductive structure are formed on top and bottom surfaces of a dielectric substrate (511) positioned above the antenna and separated from an antenna body (500). A conductive upper structure of the antenna (510) is positioned above the antenna opposite to a ground plane (530) to which the antenna body is fed, separated from the antenna body. A conductive unit structure comprising a plurality of conductive patterns (512) formed on top and bottom surfaces of the dielectric substrate (511) is arranged in a plurality of layers. The conductive structure for a high gain antenna and the antenna can be readily produced by using low cost printed circuit board (PCB) technology, and a gain of the antenna can be increased regardless of a resonance distance between the ground plane of the antenna and the conductive structure disposed above the antenna.

Provided is a planar meta-material (100) having negative permittivity, negative permeability, and a negative refractive index through a simple structure using a general conductor and a dielectric material (130), a planar meta-material structure including a planar meta-material (100), and a lens realized by using the planar meta-material structure or an antenna system, which has high efficiency and high gain, by including the planar meta-material structure. The planar meta-material includes: a planar dielectric material (130) having a single layer structure with single permittivity or a multilayer structure having at least two permittivities; a first conductor unit (110), which is disposed on a top surface of the planar dielectric material and includes a first conductor (110a, 110b) having a loop shape; and a second conductor unit (120), which is disposed on bottom surface of the planar dielectric material and includes a second conductor (120a, 120b) having the same shape as the first conductor, wherein permittivity, permeability, and a refractive index of the planar meta-material have zero or a negative value in a predetermined frequency domain.

A small antenna using an SRR structure in a wireless communication system includes: a first radiation unit positioned over a dielectric substrate formed of a predetermined dielectric medium and having a predetermined ring shape; a feed unit positioned over the dielectric substrate and configured to feed a signal to the first radiation unit; a second radiation unit positioned under the dielectric substrate and having a predetermined ring shape; a via formed through the dielectric substrate to connect the first and second radiation units; a ground unit positioned under the dielectric substrate and configured to ground the first and second radiation units; and a metal line unit positioned under the dielectric substrate to connect the second radiation unit and the ground unit. The feed unit includes first and second capacitors which accomplish impedance matching when the signal is fed to the first radiation unit.
