摘要: A system for providing wireless power transfer includes a primary antenna having a primary lens surrounding the primary antenna and a secondary antenna having a secondary lens surrounding the secondary antenna. The secondary antenna is operatively connected to power at least one sensor. A mains power source is operatively connected to power the primary antenna. The primary and secondary antennas are separated a distance apart to wirelessly transfer power from the primary antenna to the secondary antenna.

摘要: The present disclosure provides methods, articles, and apparatuses related to altering electromagnetic radiation. A method of making articles includes a) forming an electromagnetic radiation altering material by providing a polymer matrix and optionally embedding dielectric particles in the polymer matrix and b) obtaining initial dielectric properties of the electromagnetic radiation altering material. The method further includes c) modeling electromagnetic radiation altering features of the material suitable for the article obtained from the material to have target electromagnetic radiation altering properties, thereby obtaining a simulation of the electromagnetic radiation altering article; and d) additive manufacturing the electromagnetic radiation altering article based on the simulation of the electromagnetic radiation altering article. An electromagnetic radiation altering article obtained by the method is also provided. Further, an apparatus is provided including the electromagnetic radiation altering article. Methods of altering electromagnetic radiation are provided, including integrating an electromagnetic radiation altering article into either an electronic device or an electromagnetic radiation producing device, or placing the article in the vicinity of the device. Aspects of the present disclosure advantageously contribute to achieving optimized materials and designs for electromagnetic radiation altering articles.

摘要: Systems and techniques are provided for radio frequency (RF) beamforming using a plurality of differently skewed cylindrical lenses. In one example, an apparatus for wireless communication may include a plurality of cylindrical lenses, each respective cylindrical lens of the plurality of cylindrical lenses having a respective first surface and a respective second surface opposite to the respective first surface. Each respective cylindrical lens can include a power direction corresponding to a curvature of each respective first surface and a non-power direction that is orthogonal to the power direction. The apparatus can further include at least one linear antenna array disposed proximate to each respective second surface of each respective cylindrical lens, the at least one linear antenna array including a plurality of antenna array elements.

摘要: A lens elements array comprises at least two lens elements aligned along an alignment axis. Each lens element includes a spherical lens and a feed element. The feed elements are tilted such that the RF signals generated by the feed elements have major axes form an angle (preferably between 5° and 30°) other than a perpendicular angle with respect to the alignment axis. The combined RF signals produced collectively by these feed elements have amplitude that has minimal dips across the array. The feed elements that are farther away from the center of the array have higher levels of tilts than the feed elements that are closer to the center of the array.

摘要: A multi-level antenna array includes a plurality of patch antennas. Each layer of a plurality of layers is separated from other layers by a distance and support a portion of the plurality of patch antennas. Each of a plurality of connectors is associated with one of the plurality of layers for supplying a signal for transmission by the associated layer. A feed network on each of the plurality of layers provides a connection between a connector of the plurality of connectors associated with the layer and the portion of the plurality of patch antennas located on the layer. Each layer of the plurality of layers transmits the signal having a different orthogonal function applied thereto and multiplexes each of the signals having the different orthogonal function applied thereto onto a single transmission beam.
