摘要： Techniques for scanning other frequency channels for candidate base stations are described. In one scheme, the scanning of other frequency channels is performed based on the received signal quality (e.g., pilot Ec/Io) for an active base station that a wireless device is monitoring for user-specific and overhead messages. The scanning is bypassed if the active pilot Ec/Io exceeds a high threshold and performed if the active pilot Ec/Io is between the high threshold and a low threshold. In another scheme, the scanning of other frequency channels is performed at a rate that is a function of the active pilot Ec/Io. In yet another scheme, the scanning of other frequency channels is performed based on the active pilot Ec/Io and further using an adaptive timer. The timer is set to an initial value and thereafter adjusted by variable amounts determined by active pilot Ec/Io measurements.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for searching a list of pilot signals. A method is provided for searching a list of pilot signals in a communication network. The method includes defining a prio list that indicates an order in which the list of pilot signals will be searched, obtaining a search duration, and determining an indicator that identifies a portion of the prio list that can be searched within the search duration. The method also includes performing a search of the portion of the prio list, and updating the list of pilot signals based on the results of the search.

摘要： A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which a system for optimizing pilot search window size selection for inter RAT handovers is implemented. An IWS may receive a message including at least one measurement value for each 1x pilot PN in a 1x network, obtained from measurements requested by an eNB and performed by a UE. The IWS may select one or more parameters for pilot search based on the at least one measurement value for the UE to use for pilot searching in the 1x network. Further the IWS may transmit the selected one or more parameters for pilot search to the UE for pilot searching in the 1x network.

摘要： An apparatus and method for providing control signals, comprising a processor coupled to a memory, for generating a signal sequence. The processor encodes the signal sequence into a plurality of symbols using a 5 pulse position modulated (5 PPM) scheme. Advantageously, the last position of each symbol encoded under the 5 PPM scheme is set to a low bit. The symbol sequence represents a signaling protocol having a payload portion and a header portion, wherein the header portion comprises a plurality of fields for defining the payload portion. The payload portion indicates keyboard characters or coordinates for a pointing device.

摘要： A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided for reducing the amount of time for sending a measurement report message, such as a Pilot Strength Measurement Message (PSMM), after sending a completion message in wireless communication. A first radio access technology is monitored, and an indication is received on a second radio access technology. Before a transfer is made to the second radio access technology based on the indication, a UE receives neighbor information for the second radio access technology via the first radio access technology. Thereafter, a transfer is performed to transfer the UE from the first radio access technology to the second radio access technology.
