    摘要: A pneumatic system for controlling admission of gas samples to a toxic gas monitoring sensor, characterized by including an internally isolated, series pneumatic circuit for continuously circulating purging gas through the sensor, in combination with a gas sampling circuit for introducing gas samples from one or more sources into the relatively isolated series circuit. The gas sampling circuit is further characterized by including a calibration loop having a standard gas leak that is periodically energized to assure the accuracy of readings indicated by the gas sensor in the internal isolated series loop. Also, the gas sampling circuit includes a zero gas source that is selectively operable to feed purifying gas into the gas sampling circuit and thence to the series circuit including the sensor in order to enable flow meters in the system to be calibrated periodically.

    摘要: Silane gas precursor compounds having the formula (I): wherein R1, R2, and R3 each can independently be hydrogen or halogen and wherein the cyclohexadiene ring can have one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of a saturated or unsaturated, straight chain or branched alkyl group, a halogen, NO2, and C≡N are disclosed. In one form, the silane gas precursor compound is cyclohexadien-2,4-ylsilane, an air-stable liquid, that can be thermolyzed in a pyrolysis process to efficiently generate high purity silane gas. The compounds of the present invention can thus serve as a “point-of-use” precursor for silane gas.

The method and system operate in a computer system modify the image by generating a reduced-dimensionality image data set from a multidimensional image by formulating a set of projection paths through image points selected from the multidimensional image, selecting an image point along each projection path, analyzing each image point to determine spatial similarities with at least one other point adjacent to the selected image point in a given dimension, and grouping the image point with the adjacent point or spatial similarities between the points is found thereby defining the data set.

    摘要: An ice dispensing system is provided for a refrigerator having a bottom freezer. The system includes an ice maker in the freezer compartment and an ice bucket in the refrigerator compartment. A shuttle carries ice from the ice maker to the bucket through a tube extending upwardly through the dividing wall between the freezer and refrigerator compartments. The bucket includes an auger in communication with an ice dispensing opening in the refrigerator door for ice on demand by a user. The shuttle is raised and lowered by a motor-driven cable.

    摘要: A sensor assembly for a halogenated gas leak detector is characterized by having a porous ceramic spacer element positioned around a central electrode and around portions of the turns of a helical heater coil in order to hold these component parts and the respective turns of the coil in fixed, spaced-apart relationship. The central electrode and the turns of the heater coil are formed of fine, closely spaced, flexible wire that must be held in a predetermined position when the sensor is assembled. To construct the sensor pursuant to a preferred method of the invention, a coating of porous ceramic material is deposited and cured on the central electrode and the pores of this coating are loaded with an alkali metal salt. The central electrode is then positioned within the heater coil, from which it is insulated by the coating of ceramic material, and a slurry of ceramic cement is applied to completely surround the coated portion of the central electrode and to at least partially surround each of the turns of the heater coil. The slurry is cured to form a ceramic spacer block that serves to position the central electrode and the respective turns of the heater coil in fixed spaced-apart relationship.

    摘要: A collimated hole structure formed by constricting a plurality of tubular elements each provided with a core for supporting the tubular element during the constricting operation. The bundle of elements is constricted to a point where the elements effectively fuse into a substantially monolithic body. The cores are then removed, leaving a plurality of extremely small diameter, generally parallel passages in a solid body. The tubular elements may be arranged in any desired array, and thus the passages may be provided similarly in any desired array. The passages may have high aspect ratios and may be closely juxtaposed. In one illustrative application, the collimated hole structure is provided with dielectric film and utilized as an anode portion of an electrolytic capacitor. In another illustrative application, the collimated hole structure is utilized as a tip for a drilling device.
