Abstract: A sensor device may include an electrochemical (EC) gas sensor, a metal-oxide semiconductor (MOS) gas sensor, and control circuitry. The control circuitry may provide EC excitation signals to the EC gas sensor, provide at least two MOS excitation signals to the MOS gas sensor, and detect at least two gases. The control circuitry may detect the gases based on receiving EC response signals from the at least one EC gas sensor based on providing the EC excitation signals, receiving MOS response signals from the MOS gas sensor based on providing the MOS excitation signals, determining a multivariate response pattern based on the EC response signals and the MOS response signals, and differentiating between the at least two gases in contact with the sensor device based on the multivariate response pattern.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for generating optimized emissions quantification are provided. For example, a computer-implemented method may include identifying a first emissions data and a second emissions data associated with a plant. The first emissions data may be associated with first emissions data acquisition level of a plurality of emissions data acquisition levels and the second emissions data may be associated with a second emissions data acquisition level of the plurality of emissions data acquisition levels. The method may further include generating using a reconciliation model and based on the first emissions data and the second emissions data, optimized emissions quantification. The optimized emissions quantification may reflect reconciled emissions data with respect to the first emissions data and the second emissions data.

Abstract: In one illustrative configuration, a method of locating an emission source of a target substance at a site is disclosed. The method may include obtaining predicted substance concentrations of the target substance from a prediction model to generate a mapping of a weighted mean of the plurality of the predicted substance concentrations grouped in a predetermined number of feature groups. A simulated plume model is generated for each emission source present at the site to calculate representative circular normal distributions for each air quality monitor. By performing an analysis of the plurality of representative circular normal distributions in relation to the mapping, a target emission source is identified.

Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring inerting in an exhaust gas discharge of a production facility includes a first flow measuring unit; a second flow measuring unit, and a monitoring unit. The first flow measuring unit is connectable to a first flow meter arranged in a first supply line of a first gas to the production facility and the second flow measuring unit is connectable to a second flow meter arranged in a second supply line of a second gas to the exhaust gas discharge. The first flow measuring unit determines a first gas quantity supplied to the production facility and the second flow measuring unit determines a second gas quantity of the second gas supplied to the exhaust gas discharge. The monitoring unit triggers a safety-related control function based on the determined first and second gas quantity.

Abstract: A sensor chip includes a substrate and one or more chemo-resistive gas sensing elements attached to the substrate. Each gas sensing element provides a signal depending on one or more gases to be sensed. A catalytic gas filter arrangement includes one or more filter sections, each filter section including a cavity covered with at least one membrane. The at least one membrane is supported by a support structure and includes gas permeable pores. A surface defining the pores includes a catalytic material for degrading one or more of the gases. The gas filter arrangement is arranged so at least one of the chemo-resistive gas sensing elements is exposed to a filtered mixture of the gases in the cavity of one of the filter sections. The filtered mixture of gases is obtained by filtering the ambient mixture of the one or more gases with the one of the filter sections.
