    摘要： An extracorporeal blood circuit including: a withdrawal conduit connectable to a coronary withdrawal catheter; a withdrawal pump connectable to the withdrawal conduit, wherein a pumping rate of the withdrawal pump determines a blood withdrawal rate from the coronary withdrawal catheter; a filter having an input connected to the withdrawal conduit and a blood output connected to an infusion conduit and a filtrate output connected to a filtrate conduit; a filtrate measurement device to determine an amount of filtrate removed from the blood in the filter; a fluid supplementation conduit providing a blood replacement fluid to at least one of the withdrawal conduit, filter and infusion conduit; a supplementation pump connectable to the fluid supplementation conduit, wherein a pumping rate of the supplementation pump determines a rate at which the blood replacement fluid flows into the blood flowing through the blood circuit, and a controller regulating the pumping rate of the supplementation pump such that the rate of the blood replacement fluid provides an amount of blood replacement fluid to the at least one of the withdrawal conduit, filter and infusion conduit so as to substantially match the amount of filtrate removed.

    摘要： An extracorporeal blood circuit is disclosed for withdrawing, filtering and returning blood from peripheral blood vessels. The blood passage in the circuit extends through a withdrawal tube connected to a catheter in a peripheral vein, a filter, one or more pressure sensors and return tube also connected to a catheter in a peripheral vein (which may or may not be the same vein as used for the withdrawal tube). The blood passage is air free, and has smooth passage walls which promoted continuous and uniform flow of the blood through the circuit.

    摘要： A filter for an extracorporeal blood circuit including: a bundle of hollow fibers having an end section encased in a potting material, wherein the end section further comprises a stem of fibers and potting material and an annular disk of the potting material extending radially outward from the stem, wherein the annular disk of the potting material is substantially wider than the stem, the stem protrudes from the disk and the stem includes a side surface extending along a length of the stem; an end surface of the stem substantially perpendicular to the length of the stem and including open ends of the fibers distributed throughout the end surface including open ends proximate to a perimeter of the end surface; a filter housing through which extends the bundle, the filter housing comprising a tubular section and a first end section and a second end section at opposite ends of the tubular section, wherein the annular disk is seated in the first end section and the stem is narrower than the tubular section along the length of the stem; a filter header cap mounted on the first end section of the filter housing, wherein the filter header cap includes an inlet connectable to a blood line and an open end, the filter header cap including a cap side surface abutting the stem side surface, and the second end section connectable to a blood line.
