摘要： The present invention is directed to a keyless shoe lock assembly for a reciprocating saw. The keyless shoe lock assembly is capable of engaging and releasing a shoe bracket for the positional adjustment of a shoe relative to a blade clamp of the reciprocating saw. The keyless shoe lock assembly includes a shoe bracket for positional adjustment relative to a lock plate, a pin for alternately engaging and releasing the shoe bracket, and a lever connected to the pin for the rotation therof. The keyless shoe lock assembly may be used to alternately engage and release a shoe bracket without additional hardware.

摘要： A bit retaining assembly for retaining a bit in a rotary tool, in particular a router such as a hand-held router, a table-mounted router, a pocket cutter, a laminate trimmer, a rotary cutout tool, or the like employs a planetary gear system for multiplying the torque applied to clamp the bit within a collet. The bit retaining assembly comprises a chuck for coupling the bit retaining assembly to the rotor shaft of the rotary tool. A collet is disposed in the chuck for receiving the bit. A nut threaded onto the chuck compresses the collet about the bit to secure the bit within the collet. A planetary gear system transmits torque applied to a housing member to the nut for rotating the nut on the chuck. Preferably, the planetary gear system multiplies the torque transmitted to the nut so that the torque transmitted to the nut is greater than the torque applied to the housing member.

摘要： A nail spacing verification assembly is provided which enables the spacing between nails contained in a collated nail strip, the collated nail strip advancing down a nail loading assembly of a nail gun, to be verified before the nail is allowed to advance. A first and second probe are operationally coupled with each other. If nail spacing is correct, the first probe engages the second probe causing both probes to rotate and the nail to pass. If spacing is incorrect, the first probe does not engage the second probe and the nail is hindered from advancing down a nail loading assembly.

摘要： A router bit system includes a bit (or bits) and a bit holding assembly for attaching the bit to the drive shaft of a router without the use of additional hand tools. The bit holding assembly, which is attached to the drive shaft of the router, includes a chuck having a bore for receiving a shank of the bit. A collar for engaging and releasing the bit from the bit holding assembly slides between a first position for engaging the bit and a second position for releasing the bit. The collar is biased to the first position for engaging the bit. The bit is capable of being received in a standard collet-type bit holder, such as a standard router collet or the like.

摘要： A miter saw with an optical system for projecting an optical alignment marker onto a workpiece. The miter saw has a base, a turntable rotatably supported by the base, a fence disposed above the base for supporting the orientation of the workpiece located on the base, a support coupled to the rear portion of the turntable, and a cutting apparatus including a blade for cutting the workpiece. The cutting apparatus is pivotally coupled to the support for positioning the blade from a raised position above the workpiece to an operational position for engagement with the workpiece. The light projection system is attached to the cutting apparatus for projecting an optical alignment marker onto the workpiece so that the location at which the blade engages the workpiece is in a selectably adjustable relationship with respect to the position of the optical alignment marker on the workpiece. A belt-driven embodiment of the miter saw has an adjustable pulley system comprising a motor connected to a drive pulley, a blade pulley connected to the blade, the blade pulley being in substantial alignment with the drive pulley, and a belt for connecting the drive pulley with the blade pulley. An adjustment mechanism for adjusting the distance between the drive pulley and the blade pulley is provided so that the tension on the drive belt may be adjusted.

摘要： An adjustable exhaust assembly for a pneumatic fastening tool having body and a handle extending from the body, the handle defining an inlet channel for receiving input of pressurized gas and an outlet channel for outputting exhaust. The adjustable exhaust assembly includes a base non-rotatably attachable to an end of the handle opposite the body. The base has a plate and a boss extending from the plate. The boss is configured to receive an air hose and defining an inlet opening configured to direct compressed air to the inlet channel. The plate has an outlet opening in communication with the outlet channel. A substantially annular and cap is rotatably received about the boss. The cap defines a substantially annular channel in communication with the outlet opening of the base and an outlet port defined in a portion of a circumferential wall of the annular cap and in communication with the annular channel. Rotation of the cap about the boss moves the outlet opening among a plurality of radial positions relative to the boss.

The nozzle closure device is moved from the closed position to the open position by a force other than the liquid under pressure from the pump.
