摘要： An analog to digital converter used along with a variable resistive sensing means utilizes the capabilities of a microprocessor to charge and discharge a capacitor. The time required for this capacitor to discharge is dependent upon the value of the variable resistive sensing means. Circuitry is used to create a pulse whose pulse width is equal to the discharged time of a capacitor through the variable resistive sensing means.

The heating system controller has a first input suitable for being coupled to provide a control signal. The heating system controller also includes a sensor, coupled to the first input, for sensing control signals at the first input, the control signals having a first pattern, a second pattern, or a third pattern detected over at least two successive time periods. The heating system controller includes a control mechanism, coupled to the sensor for controlling the heating system based on the first, second and third patterns. The control mechanism causes the controller to change modes when the third pattern is sensed.

摘要： An energy saving thermostat adapted to be connected to a remote temperature conditioning apparatus for controlling the temperature of air in a space maintains a first temperature during a first time period and a second energy saving temperature during other time periods of the day. The thermostat has a visual indicating means so that when a manually settable switch is pushed, a time interval counter means is energized for indicating and storing a series of pulses each indicative of an hour of setback time into a storage means. The thermostat also has a review button for reviewing the stored time by pulsing the visual indicating means for the number of hours of the time period energy saving temperature.

摘要： A system for adjusting a bias voltage of a flame sensing system. The system may use pulse width modulation to adjust the bias voltage. The system may have a flame sensing rod that conveys an electrical equivalent circuit of a flame presence to a detector via low pass filter. An excitation voltage may be conveyed via a DC blocking mechanism to the sensing rod. A pulse width modulation signal may be conveyed via a bias resistor to a node of the low pass filter and the detector. The input of an A/D converter may be that of the detector for flame signals. Also, leakages between the node of the A/D converter connection and the voltage source and/or ground may be detected and compensated. Further, leakage of the DC blocking mechanism may be minimized.

摘要： A power supply usable with various size loads has an input circuit receiving pulses of voltage at 25 kilohertz. The pulses are modulated in width depending upon the input to a pulse-width modulation IC receiving inputs indicative of the output voltage and current delivered to the load. A backup current limiting circuit comprising a transistor which is biased by the voltage to the load, limits the signal to the pulse-width modulation IC to limit the width of the pulse to maintain the output current within limits.
