    摘要: A machine tool (1) has at least one but preferably two machining units (13, 14), which are assigned to two workpiece receptacles (8, 9). The machining units (13, 14) are adjustable in three axes (X, Y, Z), and they can each reach both workpiece receptacles (8, 9). The machining units (13, 14) are oriented such that their work spindles (11, 12) are in a preferably right space angle to one another. As a result, they can be moved past one another without colliding. Moreover, they can also work on the same workpiece at the same time. The workpiece receptacles are positionable independently of one another about a preferably but not necessarily common pivot axis (S). The workpieces are also rotatable about an axis (V) perpendicular to the pivot axis. This arrangement enables flexible machining of the workpieces from arbitrary directions in space. Because each machining unit (13, 14) in principle can machine every side of the workpiece of every workpiece receptacle (8, 9), both machining units (13, 14 can be utilized evenly. This minimizes idle times and time losses.

    摘要: A cassette or an analogous supports for sheet-like X-ray films has a bottom wall and a top wall which latter is connected to the bottom wall by a hinge. One of the walls carries a magnetic plate which is overlapped by a first intensifier screen for the X-ray film. The other wall carries a flat flexible receptacle for a ferromagnetic layer therewithin, and the receptacle is overlapped by a second intensifier screen. When a film is inserted between the two screens, the cassette is closed whereby the magnetic layer attracts the ferromagnetic layer with the result that the two screens are biased against the respective sides of the film therebetween. The second screen may constitute an integral part of the receptacle which latter consists of a material, such as paper or synthetic plastic, that is permeable to X-rays. The receptacle forms part of or constitutes a laminate and is floatingly mounted at the inner side of the other wall so that, when the two walls are moved close to each other and the magnetic layer attracts the ferromagnetic layer, the laminate compensates for eventual manufacturing tolerances of the cassette.

    摘要: A laminate for conversion of X-rays into radiation that darkens X-ray films has a flexible plate which is disposed between a fluorescent layer and a ferromagnetic layer. The latter enables the plate and the fluorescent layer to bear against an X-ray film in a cassette or at an exposure station for X-ray films by being attracted to a plate-like permanent magnet. The ferromagnetic layer is permanently bonded to the respective side of the flexible plate or is simply confined between the plate and an outer layer which is permeable to X-rays and whose marginal portions extend beyond the ferromagnetic layer and are bonded to the respective marginal portions of the plate. Alternatively, the ferromagnetic layer can be inserted into a sealable envelope or bag which is bonded to the respective side of the plate, namely, to that side of the plate which faces away from the fluorescent layer.

    摘要: The patient's breast is pressed against an X-ray film vacuum cassette inserted into a holding arrangement mounted on the X-ray exposure-taking machine. With the patient in position, the technician can remove and insert cassettes from the side, without requiring the patient to move back away from the cassette holding arrangement as with prior-art holding arrangements. Two opposite ends of the loading platform of the holding arrangement are each provided with two holding brackets mounted slidable towards and away from the respective ends of the loading platform, but spring-biased towards the respective ends of the loading platform. The technician grips one end of the cassette, pushes its other end against the two holding brackets located remote from the side at which he is located, pressing those two holding brackets away from the holding platform until the end of the cassette held by him clears the two holding brackets proximate to him, whereupon he swings the cassette flat against the loading platform and relaxes his grip, the biasing springs pulling the two remote holding brackets towards the loading platform. The holding brackets extend along the narrow sides of the cassette and have inward ridges fitting over the edges of the cassette.
