摘要： A detergent for cleaning textile materials is compried of a combination of a soil release-capable alkyl or hydroxyalkyl cellulose derivative and a hygroscopic polymer selected from the group consisting of polypeptides, hydrogels, polyvinyl alcohol, the polyalkylene glycols, the homopolymers of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and maleic acid, copolymers of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and maleic acid and mixtures of the homo and copolymers. The use of the hygroscopic polymers in combination with the cellulose derivatives results in improved cleaning performance.

Sub-quantities a and b of the cleaning-agent preparations A and B are respectively dispensed so that a residual quantity of the cleaning-agent preparations A and B remain in the cartridge until the end of the dishwashing method or textile washing method, and the residual quantities corresponds to at least twice the quantity of sub-quantities a and b.

The soiling is compared to a reference value and if less than reference, the temperature of the wash is held to ≦65° C., and at the end of the cleaning program and/or the intermediate rinse cycle, rinse aid is dispensed and drying immediately follows the cleaning program and/or intermediate rinse cycle without execution of a rinse aid program.
