    摘要: A process for the production of sulphonic acid group-containing condensation products based on amino-s-triazines with at least two amino groups and formaldehyde with a low content of free formaldehyde, whereina) an amino-s-triazine, formaldehyde and sulphite is condensed in a mole ratio of 1:1.3 to 6:0.3 to 1.5 in aqueous solution at a pH value of 9.0 to 12.0 and at a temperature of 50.degree. to 90.degree. C. until sulphite is no longer detectable.b) subsequently, further condensation is carried out at a pH value of 2.0 to 7.0 and at a temperature of 50.degree. to 90.degree. C. until the viscosity of the solution is 4 to 1000 mm.sup.2 /s at 80.degree. C. andc) thereafter the condensation product is subjected to an after-treatment in a strongly alkaline range of pH.sqroot.11.0 and at an elevated temperature.

    摘要: Aqueous solutions of melamine-formaldehyde and melamine-urea-formaldehyde condensation products having anionic sulfo groups in concentrations as high as 50% by weight may be prepared in a three-stage process. In the first stage, melamine or a mixture of melamine with up to 40 mole-% urea, formaldehyde, and an alkali metal sulfite are condensed in aqueous solution at 60.degree.-80.degree.C and pH 10-13 until the solution is free from readily detectable amounts of sulfite. In the second stage, condensation is continued at pH 3.0-4.5 for 30 to 90 minutes. In the third stage, a temperature of 70.degree. to 95.degree.C and a pH of 7.5 to 9.0 are maintained until a sample of the solution, when diluted to 20% solids by weight, has a viscosity of 5 to 40 centipoises at 20.degree.C.
