摘要: A bicycle, motorcycle or the like is fabricated from a pair of frame sections. A front frame section includes the front fork and wheel, handlebar assembly and seat. A rear frame section includes the crank assembly, pedal assembly and the rear stays and wheel. A shock absorber resiliently couples the front and rear frames to one another intermediate the crank assembly and seat. The lower terminus of the shock absorber is secured to a center support stay of the rear frame, the upper terminus of the shock absorber being coupled to one plurality of selectable locations on a diagonal support of the front frame. The point of coupling alters the relative stiffness of the suspension to compensate for the load imposed on the bicycle seat. The front and rear frames are pivotally coupled to one another forwardly from the lower terminus of the shock absorber in a manner which will permit adjustment of the force required to activate the suspension.

摘要: A face bow assembly including a face bow having a bite fork portion to carry an index trays to be positioned in a patient's mouth. The bow has outwardly extending wings to enable a dentist to support the bow. A vertical indicator rod mounted to the bow helps align the tray horizontally and the indicator rod vertically to the patient's mid-sagittal, while bite impression material on the tray hardens. The upper index tray is then mounted on a platform on a dental articulator. The platform has an incisal line for alignment with an incisal line(s) for adjustability on the upper index tray. The platform also has vertical or horizontal adjustability with a built-in scale.

摘要: Dental apparatus which can determine a patient-specific reference plane so that the patient's teeth can be aesthetically oriented to an aesthetic axis-horizontal reference plane. The apparatus includes a face bow, an adjustable nasion relator assembly, a level gauge and a bite fork. The nasion relator assembly, along with the level gauge, enables the face bow to be moved to a level orientation.

摘要: An improved boiler water-level controller. According to one aspect of the present invention, a positive blowdown signal is presented to indicate to the operator that the alarm probe is in steam; performing blowdown until this indicator turns on helps ensure that the alarm probe is working properly. According to another aspect of the present invention, the controller uses a novel methodology of sensing water level using conductivity probes. An embodiment of this methodology uses the charging and discharging of a capacitor through a resistive value to sense the presence of water.

摘要: The present invention provides a method and system for detecting and cross-checking faulty sensors in liquid level indicators and controllers. A liquid level indicator and controller in which one embodiment of the present invention operates includes a control unit for controlling the other components of the liquid level indicator and controller, sensors electrically connected to the control unit for sensing the level of a liquid in a vessel, and an indicating device electrically connected to the control unit for displaying the liquid level. The control unit includes a monitor and a fault detector. In operation, the liquid level indicator and controller has two (2) basic modes. The first mode is a monitor mode. In this mode, the liquid level indicator and controller, under the control of the monitor, senses the liquid level in the vessel using the sensors and displays the liquid level on the indicating device. The second mode is a fault detection mode. In this mode, the liquid level indicator and controller, under the control of the fault detector, detects and cross-checks faulty sensors. If a faulty sensor is detected, the liquid level indicator and controller determines the type of fault, i.e., whether the sensor is open or shorted.

摘要: A device for detecting a specific liquid level, that can be mounted externally on a transparent or translucent vessel wall, and is insensitive to ambient light. This device utilizes a single light detector and a pair of AC activated light sources. The light sources produce reflected light signals which, when balanced at the detector, cancel. When liquid is absent the light signals are balanced, and no signal is detected. When liquid is present the extra signal reflected by the meniscus causes the light signals to become unbalanced, and a signal is detected.
