摘要: A method, system and apparatus for performing peritoneal dialysis are provided. To this end, in part, a frame of a disposable unit for a medical fluid system is provided. The frame includes a body having a pair of opposing sides and defining a space between the sides, and a number of membranes sealed to the body along the opposing sides. The body and the membranes form at least one medical fluid pathway in the space between the opposing sides, and the opposing sides are bowed.

摘要: A method, system and apparatus for performing peritoneal dialysis are provided. To this end, in part, a member for removably securing a medical fluid tube is provided. The member includes a body providing a first fluid pathway and an opening for removably receiving an end of the medical tube. The first fluid pathway is placed in fluid communication with a second fluid pathway defined by the tube when the end of the tube is removably receiving. The member further includes a filter so positioned and arranged so as to cause fluid flowing through the first fluid pathway to pass through the filter, the filter allowing air but not liquid to flow through the first fluid pathway.

摘要: A method, system and apparatus for performing peritoneal dialysis are provided. To this end, in part, a medical system is provided that includes (i) a liquid pump; (ii) tubing in communication with the liquid pump; and (iii) at least one processor that operates with the liquid pump to: (a) pump liquid through the tubing, the tubing having an end and a hydrophobic filter at the end, the filter allowing air but not the liquid to escape from the end of the tubing, (b) receive a signal indicating a pressure increase inside the tubing, and (c) cause the pumping to stop when air has been purged substantially from the tubing.

摘要: The present invention provides automated peritoneal dialysis systems, methods of operating the systems and devices for performing same. A typical therapy performed by the present invention begins by draining dialysis solution that is already in the patient's peritoneal cavity. The system pumps fresh dialysate from one of a plurality of supply bags, through an in-line heater to the patient's peritoneal cavity. After a dwell period, the spent dialysate in the cavity is pumped out of the patient to a drain or other disposal means. The system then pumps fresh dialysate from the supply bags to the patient and the procedure is repeated as defined in the therapy protocol. The system can pump a last bag of dialysate to the peritoneal cavity for an extended dwell, such as a daytime dwell.

摘要: A pavement marker comprising a base member and a signal device for sending a light signal to a driver of an oncoming vehicle further includes a longitudinally extending tire directing hood member that directs tire contact away from the upper edge, upper portion, and upper generally corner portions of the signal device front face, while allowing tire contact with the lower portion of the signal device front face. The signal device front face is at a predetermined recess depth in said pavement marker, and is at a predetermined angle with respect to the roadway surface. The marker can be either a snowplowable marker or a sun country marker. The signal device optionally can be mounted on a base member by a mechanical interlock. Optional drainage channels can be provided in the base member to allow drainage of fluid from in front of the lower portion of the signal device.

摘要: A roadway marker comprises a solid body member having a lower generally planar surface configured to be adhered directly to a roadway surface. The marker is injection molded as a one-piece structure from a closed-cell foam thermoplastic material using a chemical blowing agent. The bottom surface of the body member may be formed with slight recesses or protrusions such that the entire bottom of the marker fills with adhesive when the marker is installed. Thus, maximum adhesive surface area is provided between the marker and the roadway surface. Further, the closed-cell foam construction creates a marker body which is strong, economical to mold and which does not shrink after molding.
