The end cap forms a passage in which the introduced priming liquid is movable, and a part of the passage is located between the second surface and the indication part.

摘要: A medical treatment system, such as a peritoneal dialysis system, may include a control and other features to enhance patient comfort and ease of use. For example, a cycler device may include a heater bag receiving section and a lid mounted to cover and uncover the heater bag receiving section, potentially enabling faster heating of a dialysate. A user interface may be moveable to be received into the receiving section and covered by the lid, if desired. The system may detect anomalous conditions, such as tilting of a housing of the system, and automatically recover without terminating a treatment. The system may include noise reduction features, such as porting pneumatic outputs to a common chamber, and others. The system may also automatically detect any one of several different solution lines connected to the system, and control operation accordingly, e.g., to mix solutions provided by two or more lines and form a needed dialysate solution. A cassette control surface may be arranged to have one or more ports that can detect a presence of a liquid, e.g., to identify if a cassette is leaking or has otherwise been compromised.

摘要: A connector for medical fluid vessels includes a fluid-seal fitting such as a male plug defining a lumen and mating with a cooperating connector, a mechanical fastener such as a screw thread for mating with the cooperating connector, and an outer housing positioned around the plug to form an annular space. Optionally, a cap can be provided with a fluid-seal fitting such as a male plug for mating with the lumen of the connector. The connector includes one or more vent openings for drainage and air-drying of any residual fluid in the annular space when capped, as well as for breaking a vacuum to prevent fluid backflow and thus ensure more accurate dosing. In some embodiments, the vent openings are provided in the outer housing. And in some embodiments, the vent openings are provided in the cap.

摘要: An integrated disinfection device is described syringe assembly having two integrated disinfection units assembled to a syringe for disinfecting and sterilizing corresponding medical connectors, specifically access ports of corresponding medical connectors. The integrated disinfection unit includes a first cup and a second cup. The first cup having a chamber containing a first absorbent material, a first disinfectant or an antimicrobial agent in the first cup, and a first peelable seal. The second cup having a chamber containing a second absorbent material, a second disinfectant or an antimicrobial agent in the second cup, and a second peelable seal. A threaded connection is disposed on the bottom exterior surface of the first cup having threads that are sized and pitched to engage threads of a luer lock collar on the distal end of the syringe barrel to allow the first cup to be connected to the syringe assembly. The second cup and the syringe assembly are interlocked through interference fit or snap fit of the thumb press of the syringe and ledge of the second cup.

摘要: A disinfection cap is described for connection to a medical connector, the disinfection cap includes a housing having a top wall and sidewall forming a cavity, disinfectant or antimicrobial agent and a ball disposed within the cavity. An outer surface of the housing includes a thread sufficient to interlock with a mating feature of a threaded connector, or more specifically a male luer connector. The cap may also include a peelable seal to prevent the disinfectant or the antimicrobial agent from exiting the cavity. The cavity of the cap may also include one or more ribs disposed on the inner surface of the cavity to retain the ball in the cavity, forming a flow channel as the ball is depressed further into the cavity. An exterior sidewall surface of the housing may include a plurality of grip members.
