摘要： An improved implant inserter, and method of using same, with an elongated, substantially rigid shaft having a proximal surface which is capable of receiving a driving force, and a substantially rigid tip portion having a distal end and a proximal end. At least the distal end of the tip portion is capable of being placed within an implant such as a suture anchor. The inserter further includes a compliant region disposed between the tip portion and the shaft which requires less lateral force to bend than the tip portion, at least when the tip portion has been placed within the implant.

摘要： A suture anchor assembly includes a suture anchor having a body, the body having a path for threading a suture therethrough. It also includes a suture threader received within the body through the path. The suture threader is an elongated tube having an expanded first end outside of the body adapted to receive suture therein and a closure mechanism for closing the expanded end about the suture whereby to allow the suture to be held by the tube and pulled through the path the load the suture into the body.

摘要： An instrument for placing a graft into a bone tunnel comprises an elongated shaft having a forked distal end comprising a pair of tines. A suture spans a space defined between the tines whereby the graft may be positioned between the tines and against the suture so as to be manipulated into the bone tunnel. The tendon folds about the suture, the suture having a releasable tension such that the instrument can be removed from the bone, leaving the tendon behind without the tendon hanging up on the suture.

摘要： A syringe pump which includes a pusher block is slidably mounted on bearings on one or more guide rails. The pusher block is advanced or retracted by a lead screw having an axis which is offset from the axis of the one or more guide rails which are supported at their respective ends by support blocks, wherein forward and/or trailing sides of the pusher block bearings are extended, and wherein the guide rail support blocks include recesses for accommodating the extended ends of the pusher block slide bearings. In another embodiment, the syringe pump includes quick connect-disconnect fixtures for loading and unloading syringes. Other mechanical and programmable improvements are described in the specification.

摘要： A capacitive sensor (10) producing an output signal (VOUT) that is insensitive to stray capacitance (CS) caused by environmental and aging conditions. The sensor includes a sensing electrode (11) that exhibits a total capacitance that is responsive to both the measured process variable and to stray capacitance (CT=CA+CS). The sensor also includes a reference electrode (19) that exhibits a stray capacitance (CS′) essentially the same as that of the sensing electrode, but that is insensitive to the process variable. Balancing circuitry (29) provides an output signal that is responsive to the measured process variable and insensitive to the stray capacitance (VOUT=CT−CS′). The reference electrode is manufactured of the same materials and dimensions as the sensing electrode and may be mounted in the sensor body proximate the sensing electrode.

摘要： A suture anchor comprises a tubular body having an axial bore therethrough and having one or more purchase enhancements on an exterior surface of the body adapted to enhance purchase of the body within a bone hole, such as threads. A lateral port passes through the body from the bore to the exterior surface and is formed of a slot entering the body from its proximal end. A length of suture for attaching soft tissue to bone passes down along the exterior surface over the one or more purchase enhancements, over a distal end of the body, up into the bore through and then back out of the bore and up along the exterior surface over the one or more purchase enhancements.
