    摘要: An improved implant inserter, and method of using same, with an elongated, substantially rigid shaft having a proximal surface which is capable of receiving a driving force, and a substantially rigid tip portion having a distal end and a proximal end. At least the distal end of the tip portion is capable of being placed within an implant such as a suture anchor. The inserter further includes a compliant region disposed between the tip portion and the shaft which requires less lateral force to bend than the tip portion, at least when the tip portion has been placed within the implant.

    摘要: An instrument for placing a graft into a bone tunnel comprises an elongated shaft having a forked distal end comprising a pair of tines. A suture spans a space defined between the tines whereby the graft may be positioned between the tines and against the suture so as to be manipulated into the bone tunnel. The tendon folds about the suture, the suture having a releasable tension such that the instrument can be removed from the bone, leaving the tendon behind without the tendon hanging up on the suture.

    摘要: A capacitive sensor (10) producing an output signal (VOUT) that is insensitive to stray capacitance (CS) caused by environmental and aging conditions. The sensor includes a sensing electrode (11) that exhibits a total capacitance that is responsive to both the measured process variable and to stray capacitance (CT=CA+CS). The sensor also includes a reference electrode (19) that exhibits a stray capacitance (CS′) essentially the same as that of the sensing electrode, but that is insensitive to the process variable. Balancing circuitry (29) provides an output signal that is responsive to the measured process variable and insensitive to the stray capacitance (VOUT=CT−CS′). The reference electrode is manufactured of the same materials and dimensions as the sensing electrode and may be mounted in the sensor body proximate the sensing electrode.
