摘要: The embodiments provide an electrode catalyst layer for reduction of carbon dioxide, a carbon dioxide reduction electrode, and a carbon dioxide electrolysis apparatus. The catalyst layer is made to exhibit high partial current density and to endure a long-term operation by controlling the wettability. The catalyst layer comprises a metallic catalyst supported on carbon material, an ion-conductive material, and a hydrophilic polymer; and is characterized in that a BET specific surface area (AN2) of said catalyst layer determined by nitrogen gas-adsorption and a BET specific surface area (AH2O) of said catalyst layer determined by water vapor-adsorption are in a ratio (AH2O/AN2) of 0.08 or less.

摘要: The present embodiments provide: a catalyst having excellent optical transparency, catalytic activity and durability; and a method of producing the same. This catalyst comprises a graphene oxide layer and a nickel-iron layered double hydroxide layer supported on the surface of the graphene oxide layer. The graphene oxide layer has an average thickness of 0.33 to 4 nm. The catalyst can be produced by arranging graphene oxide on a substrate by a coating method and then allowing NiFe-LDH to be supported thereon.

A mass ratio (S/M) of a sulfur element (S) to a metal element (M) in the metal catalyst in the catalyst layer is not less than 0.03 nor more than 0.1.

摘要: CO2 reaction methods may include: supplying CO2-containing gas to a first accommodation part (AP) of an electrochemical reaction cell (ERC) from a first supply unit, the ERC including the first AP, a second AP, a cathode in the first AP, and an anode in the second AP; supplying an electrolytic solution containing H2O to the second AP; controlling ERC temperature to 60 to 150° C. so discharged gas and discharged solution discharged from the first and second APs are 60 to 100° C.; supplying current to the electrodes, reducing the CO2 at the reduction electrode and discharge gas from the first AP, and oxidizing H2O and discharge the solution containing O2 and CO2 from the second AP; separating O2 and CO2 gas from the discharged solution; combusting the O2 to produce CO2, and discharging mixed-CO2 gas containing combustion CO2 and CO2; and supplying the mixed-CO2 gas to the first AP.

摘要: A CO2 electrolyzing method may include: supplying gas containing CO2 and/or a first electrolytic solution (ES) containing CO2 to a first accommodation part (AP) of an electrolysis cell so the gas or first ES contacts a reduction electrode in the first AP, the electrolysis cell including the reduction electrode, an oxidation electrode, the first AP, and a second AP; supplying a second ES containing water and CO2, HCO3-, and/or CO32- to the second AP so the second ES contacts the oxidation electrode in the second AP, the oxidation electrode including a conductive metal substrate and oxidation catalyst layer thereon, of a 20 to 70 mass% Fe, balance Ni, a nickel and iron bonding state in the composite body including Ni(OH)2, NiOOH, and FeOOH; supplying an electric current to the reduction and oxidation electrode, to reduce the CO2 in the reduction electrode and produce a carbon compound.
