摘要: A transmitting system includes a variable-length packet multiplexing apparatus and a transmission slotting apparatus. The variable-length packet multiplexing apparatus generates a variable-length packet. The transmission slotting apparatus stores the variable-length packet in slots forming transmission main signals. The transmission slotting apparatus includes a capacity calculator, an extractor, a remainder calculator, a selector, and a slot information multiplexer. The capacity calculator calculates a data capacity of the transmission main signals for one frame. The extractor extracts a byte number of the variable-length packet. The remainder calculator calculates a remaining capacity of the transmission main signals. The selector stores a predetermined data sequence in a region left in the slots, and outputs the slots storing the data sequence. The slot information multiplexer multiplexes slot information and the slots output by the selector.

The transmission timing adjuster writes, for adjustment of a transmission timing of an MMTP packet being close to an MMTP packet in which an NTP short format timestamp value is discontinuous, time information taking a leap second processing into consideration, to the NTP short format timestamp of the MMTP packet.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a multiplexing device includes: a packet generating unit which generates one or more third packets based on at least one of one or more first packets and a second packet; a main signal generating unit which generates from the third packets a main signal; an information generating unit which generates transmission multiplexing control information; a slot generating unit which generates a slot by combining the transmission multiplexing control information and the main signal corresponding to the information described in the transmission multiplexing control information having been generated a predetermined number of frames prior to the currently generated transmission multiplexing control information; and a time writing unit which writes a time in the second packet in the main signal included in the generated slot.
