Abstract: A stator includes a core body provided so as to contact a substantially cylindrical peripheral-wall inner surface of a frame and having a stator coil wound thereupon, and a mold portion in which a coil end of the stator coil is molded out of resin. A gap is provided between the peripheral-wall inner surface and the mold portion.
