    摘要： A conveying apparatus and process for transporting moist, crumbly material from a first room to a second room, in which the gas pressure is different from that of the first one, comprising a feed section, a compression section, and an end section, a shaft extending through the three sections and carrying conveyor screws in the feed and compression sections only. In the end section, an annular plug of the material is formed. In the compression section, the cross-section between the conveyor screw and/or the housing around it decreases in the direction of transport, and the housing is internally screw-threaded.
