Abstract: There is provided a surfactant composition for use in stabilizing oil in water emulsions, such as water in diesel emulsion fuels. Components of said surfactant compositions can include zwitterionic materials, ionic liquids, as well as amide compounds and alcohols. Methods for producing said surfactant compositions are also disclosed.
