Abstract: A method of inhibiting corrosion of metal during acid stimulation of an oil and gas well that involves treating the oil and gas well with an acidic treatment fluid that includes 10 to 28 wt. % of an acid, based on a total weight of the acidic treatment fluid, and a corrosion inhibitor composition containing gelatin, wherein the gelatin is present in the acidic treatment fluid in a concentration of 0.1 to 10% by weight per total volume of the acidic treatment fluid.

Abstract: Corrosion inhibiting compositions and methods of inhibiting corrosion on a metal surface commonly used in the petroleum industry is disclosed. The corrosion inhibitor includes at least one azole, at least one polypeptide derived from amino acid, at least one intensifier preferably from metal halides, and at least one surfactant. The methods include combining effective amounts of the corrosion inhibitor composition and contacting a metal surface in aqueous environment commonly found in oil and gas industry. The composition is very effective against corrosion of metals in contact with aqueous media when used in a dosage as low as 50 ppm.

Abstract: Corrosion inhibiting formulations including a substituted benzimidazole, a mercaptocarboxylic acid, a 2-thioxodihydropyrimidine-dione, a sulfhydryl alcohol, a surfactant, and a solvent. Methods for preventing, inhibiting, or reducing metal (e.g. carbon steel) corrosion utilizing these formulations are described.
