Abstract: An image scanning unit optically scans an image of a predetermined scanning area that includes a platen glass on which a document is put. A document cover is capable of rotation and covers the platen glass. A first movable member moves in a direction substantially perpendicular to the platen glass in accordance with opening and closing of the document cover. A second movable member moves in a direction substantially parallel to the platen glass in accordance with movement of the first movable member when the first movable member contacts. A cover status detecting unit obtains the image from the image scanning unit and detects a status of the document cover on the basis of an image of the second movable member in the scanning area.

Abstract: An image processing device includes a modulation clock generator, a line synchronization signal generator, a line image sensor, and an image processor. The modulation clock generator is configured to generate the modulation clock by modulating a frequency of a reference clock at a predetermined modulation cycle. The line synchronization signal generator is configured to generate, on the basis of the modulation clock, a line synchronization signal whose line cycle varies from line to line. The line image sensor is configured to sequentially read an image of one line of a document at a timing corresponding to the line synchronization signal and to output image data. The image processor is configured to process the image data on the basis of the modulation clock.

Abstract: An image forming system includes a recording processing portion, an acquirement processing portion, and an output processing portion. The recording processing portion records a consumed amount of a consumable consumed by an image forming apparatus per predetermined unit time. The acquirement processing portion acquires prediction data that indicates a predicted consumed amount of the consumable per the unit time for a time period from a predetermined standard time, based on a comparison result between: a first record result corresponding to a first time period extending to a reference time; and a second record result corresponding to a predetermined second time period extending to the standard time, among a record result recorded by the recording processing portion, the reference time being a predetermined specific time period earlier than the standard time. The output processing portion outputs the prediction data acquired by the acquirement processing portion.
