Abstract:
The invention relates to a chuck (1) for a machine tool for machining a tubular workpiece (26) which rotates about a rotational axis that coincides with the center of the chuck, comprising at least two chucking slides (7a, b, c) that are designed to be positionable radially with respect to the rotational axis in order to release and chuck the workpiece, are arranged on the end side of and in a manner distributed uniformly around the circumference of a chuck head plate, and bear chucking jaws (8a, b, c). Such a chuck is intended to be created with improved operating characteristics and extension to all chucking functions. To this end, for the external central chucking of a tube (26), there are provided centring slides (27a, b, c) which can be disengaged from the chuck head plate with a forward inclination towards the end of the tube to be machined and center the tube by means of chucking claws (29) which are arranged at the front, free end of centring slide rods (28), said centring slides (27a, b, c) engaging via a toothed rod section (34) into a toothing (35) of a drive means assigned to each centring slide, and meshing for their part, on a toothing side (37) parallel to the side with the toothing, with a central toothed wheel (33) arranged concentrically with the rotational axis, wherein the central toothed wheel (33) synchronizes the movements of all the centring slides (27a, b, c).

Abstract:
The invention relates to a machine for machining the ends of pipes which, for control purposes, is assigned at least one computer unit and in the case of which the tools (13) are arranged displaceably such that they can engage radially in relation to the pipe in a tool head (11) which is driven by a motor (4) via a main spindle (10) guided through a headstock (6), the tool head rotating coaxially about the fixedly clamped pipe end, wherein the tools are arranged in tool holders in the form of slides (14A, 14B; 15A, 15B; 16A, 16B) and adjacent slides together mesh with a toothed wheel which is formed with weight compensation. According to the invention, the tool head (11) is formed with integrated advance motors (17) assigned to the slides (14A, 14B; 15A, 15B; 16A, 16B), and each slide is assigned a measuring device (24).

Abstract:
An apparatus for collecting and bundling long rolling stock includes a collecting station for a layer of rolling stock lying side-by-side, a receiving device for the layer of rolling stock, a bundle forming station arranged at a side of the collecting station, and an arrangement for transporting the layer of rolling stock into a depositing position in the bundle forming station. The transporting arrangement includes two support arches that stand at a distance from another and span at least a collecting station and a bundle forming station. Each of the support arches defines a travel path having a horizontal segment that is guided into a vertical segment in a region of the bundle forming station. A carriage is arranged at each support arch so that both carriages are synchronously movable on the travel paths. A cross-piece is provided so as to join together the two support arches and support the receiving device, each end of the cross-piece is supported by one of the carriages so that the cross-piece is movable parallel to the rolling stock, and a device for carrying off the bundled rolling stock from the bundle forming station.
