摘要: A device for mounting a cover of a cutting blade to a riving knife may have an engaging member for releasably engaging at least a part of the riving knife from both sides, in a direction of thickness of the riving knife. The engaging member is manually operable without any additional tools. A device for mounting a riving knife to a table saw may include a manually operable lock member and a biasing member. The biasing member is arranged and constructed to normally bias the lock member towards a lock position. The riving knife may be divided into a first knife portion and a second knife portion. A positioning device may position the first knife portion and the second knife portion substantially within a single plate.

摘要: An entrapment detecting system includes a detection portion provided at an opening/closing apparatus for detecting an acceleration thereof on the basis of an output from a piezoelectric sensor for outputting a voltage corresponding to the acceleration and a control portion for judging whether or not an object is entrapped by the opening/closing apparatus on the basis of a detected result of the detection portion. The detection portion includes a current control portion connected to the control portion in series as a closed circuit whereby electricity is supplied from the control portion to the current control portion. The current control portion changes a consumed current of the detection portion on the basis of the output from the piezoelectric sensor. The control portion judges whether or not the object is entrapped on the basis of the consumed current of the detection portion changed by the current control portion.

摘要: An object detecting apparatus includes a piezoelectric sensor provided at an edge portion of an opening/closing body for emitting an output voltage which changes corresponding to an external force applied to the edge portion and a detection circuit for receiving the output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor and for judging an entrapment. The detection circuit includes a voltage-measuring circuit for measuring the output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor, a time-measuring circuit for measuring time, and a judging circuit configured to judge the entrapment. The judging circuit judges the entrapment corresponding to the output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor. The judging circuit calculates a changing value of the output voltage after the output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor reaches a predetermined first level. The judging circuit judges that the entrapment has not occurred in a situation where the changing value of the output voltage is larger than a predetermined value.

The device includes a sensor having temperature dependence and detecting that an object has been pinched, based on a frequency element and a magnitude of an output signal; a filter portion for extracting a signal in a predetermined frequency band, from an output of the sensor; and an amplification portion for amplifying the extracted signal. In this device, the frequency band and an amplification factor of the amplification portion is determined in response to an ambient temperature.
