摘要:
A brazed sintered compact composed of first and second components, which are easily positioned relative to each other, enabling the provision of a good joining clearance. If a protrusion 3 of a first component 1 is fitted into a recess 13 of a second component 10, both components are able to be positioned relative to each other. Simultaneously, a joining clearance A can be easily obtained between a joining surface 2 of the first component 1 and a joining surface 12 of the second component 10, corresponding to a dimensional difference therebetween. Also, an inner side surface 4a of a storage groove 4 is aligned with a right or left end 11a of a leg 11, disposed opposite to the inner side surface 4a. Accordingly, it is possible to allow as much brazing material as properly needed to permeate between the joining surfaces 2 and 12. Further, as the surface tension of the surplus brazing material becomes unlikely to be developed in the storage grooves 4,4′, the backflow of the material is prevented.

A Cu—Ni—Sn copper-based sintered alloy has a composition including 10 to 40% by mass of Ni, 5 to 25% by mass of Si, and the remainder containing Cu and inevitable impurities, and if necessary, 0.1 to 0.9% by mass of P, 1 to 10% by mass of C, 0.3 to 6% by mass of calcium fluoride or 0.3 to 6% by mass of molybdenum disulfide. In the structure of the alloy, a phase of a composition containing Cu(4-x-y)NixSny (where x: 1.7 to 2.3, y: 0.2 to 1.3) is dispersed.

An integrated sprocket and housing used in a variable valve timing mechanism. The integrated sprocket and housing includes: a sprocket portion which is formed in a substantially annular shape, and which has teeth on the outer circumference thereof; and a housing portion which is disposed inside the sprocket portion, which has recesses in the inside thereof, and which is formed integrally with the sprocket portion as a sintered body made of a ferrous powder material, wherein the entire surface of the sprocket portion and the housing portion is covered with a steam oxidized layer which is formed by a steam treatment, and a nitrided layer which is formed by a gas soft nitriding treatment subsequent to the steam treatment.
