摘要: A collector is provided which is capable of simultaneously capturing and collecting particulate and gaseous chlorinated organic compounds contained in a fluid. The collector 3 includes a housing 6 and a captor 7 disposed within the housing 6. The captor 7 includes a tubular porous core member 7a of a sintered glass having one end closed with a close member 7c, and a gas-permeable sheet 7b fitted around the core member 7a. The gas-permeable sheet 7b is, for example, a paper-like sheet having a fibrous activated carbon and inorganic fibers. The particulate and gaseous chlorinated organic compounds contained in a gas sample flowing into the captor through a sampling tube 2 are simultaneously collected and removed from the gas sample by the core member 7a and the gas-permeable sheet 7b, and the gas sample free from the chlorinated organic compounds is then discharged from an outlet port 6b.

摘要: A deaeration method for eliminating dissolved gases from a liquid product, which method involves low initial cost and running cost, compact equipment, and simple arrangement to accomplish the deaeration. For the method to eliminate dissolved gases from a liquid product, a deaeration module which is divided by a gas-pervious membrane into a liquid phase side and a vapor phase side is used. A deaeration-use gas composed of one or more kinds of inactive gases is previously dissolved in a liquid product to be deaerated, whereby a deaeration-target liquid is prepared. The deaeration-target liquid is distributed on the liquid phase side, in which distribution process the deaeration-use gas moves to the vapor phase side via the gas-pervious membrane, while the dissolved gases move to the vapor phase side along with the movement of the deaeration-use gas. This movement of the gases is carried out during passage through the deaeration module under ambient pressure.

摘要: A harness indicator is highly reactive to a trace amount of Ca2+, and is slow to degrade in a high temperature environment of greater than 50° C. In one embodiment, the hardness indicator contains EBT, a pH buffer, and a masking agent as main components, and an admixture of Mg-EDTA. In another embodiment, the hardness indicator contains EBT, a pH buffer, and a masking agent as main components, and an admixture of anhydrous Mg-EDTA. In another embodiment, the hardness indicator contains EBT, a pH buffer, and a masking agent as main components, and an admixture of anhydrous Mg-EDTA and potassium sorbate. In a further embodiment, the hardness indicator contains EBT, a pH buffer, and a masking agent as main components, and an admixture of Mg-EDTA and potassium sorbate. In a further embodiment, the hardness indicator contains EBT, a pH buffer, and a masking agent as main components, and an admixture of potassium sorbate.

摘要: The invention effectively prevents occurrence of corrosion in water tubes or the like of boilers. The invention provides a method for operating a boiler, including regulating a concentration of sulfate ions SO42− in boiler water to under 500 ppm, and a method for injecting a sulfite base oxygen scavenger, including setting a concentration of residual dissolved oxygen in boiler feed water to 2-4 ppm. The invention further provides a sulfite base oxygen scavenger composition comprising: 3-30 weight % of at least one selected from a group consisting of Na2SO3, K2SO3, NaHSO3 and KHSO3; 1-20 weight % of NaOH or KOH; 0.2-2 weight % of potassium sorbate; and 5-500 ppm of CoSO4.
