摘要： The present invention provides a method of measuring skin blood flow on a test site using a blood flow meter. The method includes the steps of calibrating the probe of the blood flow meter, using a bio-simulating model to produce a thermo-EMF flow curve, attaching the probe to a site to be tested to generate an electromagnetic force for the test site, and determining the skin blood flow at the test site by comparing the electromagnetic force to the thermo-EMF curve. The method may also include the step of maintaining the temperature in the probe at a value slightly higher than that of the test site.

摘要： In an artificial-flower toy apparatus operative in response to sensing of external sound, a sound-sensing operational unit is contained within a container and includes a motor which has a driving shaft. The sound-sensing operational unit senses the external sound to drive the motor. An artificial-flower dancing unit is contained within the container and includes an angularly movable shaft and at least one artificial flower which has a stem and a core rod inserted in the stem. The core rod of the artificial flower has a lower end portion which is connected to the angularly movable shaft for angular movement therewith about an axis of the angularly movable shaft. The artificial flower is mounted on the container in an upstanding manner. The angularly movable shaft is interlocked with the driving shaft of the motor for angular movement about the axis of the angularly movable shaft, so that the artificial flower is danced by the motor of the sound-sensing operational unit.

摘要： A head-positioning mechanism of an endless tape useful in, for example, various tape-recorders of an endless cartridge type is disclosed, in which the endless tape on its inner side between a capstan and a tape guide is provided with an electrically conductive sensor and at its predetermined site is provided with a cut-line, while the endless tape on its inner surface is normally supplied with a faint current for disenergizing a power source of a DC motor upon contact of the cut-line with the sensor, thereby to arrest a head of the endless tape at a starting position.

摘要： An apparatus for continuously producing a high strength dual-phase steel strip or sheet having a chemical composition which produces a dual-phase structure composed of ferrite grains and a low temperature transformed phase when rapidly cooled from the (.alpha.+.gamma.) temperature range or from the .gamma. temperature range. The apparatus has a continuous heat treatment furnace in which the strip moves vertically and which is composed of a heating zone, a soaking zone and a cooling zone, and conventional equipment associated therewith. The cooling zone has an upper hearth roll group, a lower hearth roll group and cooling equipment for cooling the strip at a rate in the range between 1.degree. and 300.degree. C./sec. for retaining the austenite in the steel of the strip. The hearth rolls of each hearth roll group are arranged to guide the strip coming from the soaking zone up and down through the cooling zone from the inlet end to the outlet end, alternately passing around the upper hearth rolls and the lower hearth rolls. The hearth roll at the position where the strip is subjected to straining and begins to work harden as a result of the bending, and the hearth rolls subsequent to such position, have diameters such that the strain induced phase transformation of the retained austenite and consequently the work hardening of the strip when it is turned around the hearth rolls is avoided.
