摘要： Electronic camera comprises an image taking unit and a memory unit connected detachably. The image taking unit generates image signals corresponding to an object. The image signals are transmitted to the memory unit to be stored therein. The memory unit is detached from the image taking unit and connected to an external memory device such as a video tape recorder. The image taking unit has a monitor which can display the image signals in visual form before recording them in the memory unit.

摘要： A reproducing apparatus for magneto-optical discs has a moving head portion and a fixed head portion. Light reflected from the disc is divided into two parallel light beam components having different planes of polarization. These light beam components are transmitted to corresponding light intensity detectors of the fixed head portion. The outputs of the detectors are unaffected by movement of the movable head portion relative to the fixed head portion radially of the disc and are unaffected by movement of the movable head portion in other directions due to inaccuracies in the slider mechanism that moves the movable head portion radially.

摘要： A device for tracking a movable body along a linear path parallel to a plane includes a linear motor for driving the body along the linear path. The body is mounted, as by rollers, for movement along a guide, such as a pair of parallel guide rails, supported on a base which also supports the motor. To enhance stability of the body during tracking movement, the rollers or other mounts for the body are urged against the guide by the magnetic action of a flux which is separate from the principal flux used to generate thrust for the linear motor and which provides an attractive force against preferably a pair of members, such as steel plates, of high magnetic permeability fixed to the movable body.
