    摘要: An FM-CW type radar system, for use in an automotive vehicle, which is specifically designed with a signal processor of relatively simple construction having an improved capability of identifying an object, particularly a plurality of objects, to be identified in suurrounding traffic or road areas. The system is particularly effective in overcoming possible error in detection of the object(s) due to reflected or scattering waves from the road surface or the like as experienced in the general radar navigation system for detecting the approaching or interfering object(s) by the provision of incessant radar monitoring along with the path of travel of the vehicle equipped with the radar system so as to eventually maintain a safe relative distance and/or velocity of that vehicle with respect to the object(s) in the surrounding traffic or road areas.

    摘要: An apparatus for steering the front and rear wheels of a motor vehicle includes a detector for detecting an effect of operation by a driver of the motor vehicle on the behavior of the motor vehicle, and a rear wheel steering control device for returning the rear wheels to a neutral steering position when a rate of change of a detected output from said detecting means is in excess of a prescribed value. The apparatus may further include another control device for variably controlling the ratio of a rear wheel steering angle to a front wheel steering angle according to a speed of the motor vehicle. The detector comprises a steering angle sensor for detecting a steering angle of the front wheels or a speed sensor for detecting the speed of travel of the motor vehicle. The rate of change of the detected output is calculated by said rear wheel steering control device from time-series steering angle data or speed data produced from information generated by said steering angle or speed sensor. The prescribed value to be compared with the rate of change of the steering angle output is substantially the same as a maximum rate of change of a steering angle which can be produced during steering operation of the motor vehicle. The prescribed value to be compared with the rate of change of the speed output is substantially the same as a maximum rate of change of a speed of the motor vehicle which can be produced upon deceleration of the motor vehicle.
