摘要： It is an exemplified object of the present invention to provide an image-forming device that can form a high-quality multicolor image at relatively low cost. To achieve the above object, the inventive image-forming device includes an endless belt that conveys a recordable medium; plural image-forming units that form a toner layer on the recordable medium via the endless belt; and a fixer that fixes the toner layer on the recordable medium, and a first pressing force applicable to the recordable medium by a last image-forming unit at a downstream side along a direction in which the recordable medium is conveyed among the plural image-forming units is greater than a second pressing force applicable to the recordable medium by another image-forming unit adjacent to the last image-forming unit at the downstream side among the plural image-forming units.

摘要： A tape recording and/or playback apparatus for use with a magnetic tape cassette including a magnetic head, a head moving mechanism, a switching mechanism, and a tension adjust mechanism. The switching mechanism switches over the tape running direction between a forward direction and a reverse direction and also changes the tape running speed to a speed higher than the normal recording and/or playback speed. The tape is driven by an endless belt cooperating with take-up and supply reel flywheels. When the high-speed tape drive operation is selected by the switching mechanism, the head is withdrawn from contact with the tape and the belt tension is reduced during the high-speed tape drive operation.

摘要： Apparatus that carries or transfers a memory medium having a solid-state memory over the inside and outside portions of a recording and/or reproducing apparatus is adapted so that, by selective engagement with respect to a chassis or a holder of a fluctuation lever the memory medium is inserted and held. The memory medium is moved in a manner bridging between an eject position where insertion/withdrawal of the memory medium is permitted and a loading position. A first biasing member moves and biases the holder in an eject direction opposite to a memory medium insertion direction is caused to store biasing force in the eject direction. A second biasing member biases the holder in the memory medium insertion direction and is caused to be operative to carry out switching between movement in the memory medium insertion direction of the holder and movement in the eject direction.

摘要： An image transferring apparatus is provided which holds a print sheet in a nip between an image carrier and a transfer roller and supplies the current to the transfer roller to transfer a toner image formed on the image carrier to the print medium. The apparatus has conductive brushes disposed in contact with ends. of the transfer roller to form a bypass circuit. The bypass circuit is connected to ground through a resistor and introduce the part of the current supplied to the transfer roller in an image transferring operation, thereby avoiding formation of any print defects such as discharge-caused marks or toner stops.

The pair of holding portions hold the magnetic head such that when the magnetic tape is run in the forward direction by the switching mechanism, one of the pair of holding portions holds the magnetic head in the recording and/or playback position, and when the magnetic tape is run in the reverse direction by the switching mechanism, the other of the pair of holding portions holds the magnetic head in the recording and/or playback position.

摘要： An electrophotographic image forming apparatus including a toner circulating mechanism for recovering a residual toner scraped from a photosensitive drum to a developing device. The developing device includes a housing for defining a toner chamber, a developing roller rotatably mounted in the housing, an agitator rotatably mounted in the housing and provided in the toner chamber, and a partition member mounted to the housing to define a carrier chamber between the partition member and the developing roller. The toner circulating mechanism directly returns the residual toner scraped from the photosensitive drum to the toner chamber in the developing device. The toner chamber may contain a foreign matter removing device. The partition member may have various shapes.

摘要： A recording/reproducing apparatus for a tape-like recording medium housed in a tape cassette has a main chassis with a rotary head cylinder mounted thereon, and a subchassis coupled to the main chassis for sliding movement relative to the main chassis in directions toward and away from the rotary head cylinder. The subchassis has a pair of hub drive shafts and a plurality of guide rollers movable in a predetermined direction. The tape housed in the tape cassette loaded on the subchassis can be pulled out of the tape cassette and wound around the rotary head cylinder by moving the guide rollers in response to relative sliding movement of the main chassis and the subchassis. The tape can thus be loaded and unloaded manually.
