In a coating apparatus, a nozzle connects a feed pipe for feeding a coat solution to a manifold of a die with an opening of the manifold. The nozzle satisfies conditions: 1.5≦B/A≦5.0 and 0.8≦C/B≦8.0, when A is an equivalent diameter of an end of the nozzle to be connected with the tube, B is an equivalent diameter of another end of the nozzle to be connected with the opening, and C is a length of the nozzle. The coat solution fed from the feed pipe enters in the nozzle. In the nozzle, the coating solution diverges along with an inner wall of the nozzle to enter into the manifold. In the manifold the coating solution flows in a widthwise direction and flows out through a slit extending from the manifold to a lip of the die, such that a moving web is coated with the coating solution uniformly.

There is described a molding method for molding a product, having a microscopic structure of high aspect ratio. The molding method includes the steps of: setting a temperature of a mold, having a microscopic shape, at a value higher than a glass transition temperature of a material being deformable with heat; pushing the mold against the material at a first velocity, after the material is positioned opposite to the mold so that the microscopic shape contacts the material; pushing the mold against the material at a second velocity being faster than the first velocity; and releasing the mold from the material. The pushing pressure for pushing the mold against the material at the first velocity is equal to or smaller than a half of that for pushing the mold against the material at the second velocity.

A curtain-type coating liquid application device having a slide hopper and an application start plate used to prevent an increase in the thickness of the initially applied portion of the liquid on a web to thereby make the initial coating portion flat and smooth. Liquid freely falling in the form of a thin curtain from the slide hopper is caused to collide against the web continuously moving around a backup roller so that the liquid is applied to the web. The application start plate is curved or bent and is turnable about a fulcrum located under the backup roller. The application start plate also has an upper end extending at an oblique angle to the direction of width of the curtain, or it may be provided with a curtain receiving part at the upper end of the plate.

The valves are then switched to feed the wet air to the other chamber filled with the adsorbent, whereby the moisture is adsorbed and the dry ozone-containing air fed from the ozonizer is fed into the former chamber filled with the adsorbent to reactivate the adsorbent and to discharge it as the wet ozone-containing air.
