    摘要: An efficient method is provided for producing water based coating compositions that are capable of forming highly scratch and abrasion resistant matte coatings in which crosslinked silicone particles are well dispersed. The method involves addition to a water based coating composition of a waterborne suspension of crosslinked silicone particles having an average diameter of 0.1-200 &mgr;m. The method is characterized in that the suspension is a waterborne crosslinked silicone particle suspension provided by effecting crosslinking of a condensation reaction crosslinkable silicone composition comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane containing at least two silanol groups in each molecule, (B) a crosslinker, and (C) a condensation reaction catalyst. The crosslinking is effected in the emulsified composition in an aqueous solution of an anionic surfactant.

    摘要: A silicone rubber powder obtained by curing a condensation-curable silicone rubber composition in a dispersed state in water, having an epoxy equivalent measured by a titration method equal to or lower than 3,000 and an average particle size in the range of 0.1 to 100 μm; and a method of manufacturing a silicone rubber powder comprising the steps of dispersing in water a silicone rubber composition comprising at least components (A) through (C) listed below; adding component (D); and curing the mixture: (A) a diorganopolysiloxane capped at both molecular terminals with silanol groups and having in one molecule 30 or less silicon atoms; (B) an organopolysiloxane having in one molecule at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms; (C) an epoxy-containing alkoxysilane; and (D) a condensation-reaction catalyst. The silicone rubber powder has low epoxy equivalent and possesses excellent dispersibility in organic resins, and the method is efficient in manufacturing of the aforementioned powder.

    摘要: A suspension containing crosslinked silicone particles with a lower mean particle diameter and a better dispersion in certain organic resins is prepared by emulsifying a condensation crosslinkable silicone composition containing (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silanol groups per molecule and (B) a crosslinker, but no (C) condensation catalyst, in water using a surfactant. A tin (II) salt of an organic acid with no more than ten carbon atoms is then emulsified in water with a surfactant, and added as the component (C) to the emulsion of condensation crosslinkable silicone composition. This crosslinks the emulsion of condensation crosslinkable silicone composition.

    摘要: This invention relates to a silicone oil emulsion that contains cross-linked silicone particles in drops of silicone oil which have an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 500 μm and are dispersed in water, wherein the silicone oil contains epoxy groups, acryl groups, methacryl groups, silicon-bonded alkoxy groups, or silicon-bonded hydroxyl groups but is free of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms and alkenyl groups, said cross-linked silicone particles is formed by a hydrosilation reaction. Furthermore, this invention also relates to a silicone oil composition obtained by removing water from said emulsion.

    摘要: Spherical crosslinked organic particles exhibit a good dispersibility in thermoplastic resins, thermosetting resins, paints, coatings, cosmetics, rubbers, and toners and carriers employed in electrostatic development. Highly efficient methods for preparing these crosslinked organic particles are provided. Suspensions of crosslinked organic particles have excellent handling properties, and are highly blendable with other components. Highly efficient methods for preparing these suspensions are also provided. The spherical crosslinked organic particles have an average particle size of 0.1-500 &mgr;m, and can be prepared by emulsifying in water using an emulsifying agent, a fluid composition containing (A) an organic compound that has at least 2 aliphatically unsaturated bonds in each molecule, (B) a silicon-containing organic compound that has at least 2 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in each molecule, (C) an hydrosilylation reaction catalyst, crosslinking the fluid composition by carrying out an hydrosilylation reaction, and thereafter removing water.

    摘要: An aqueous emulsion comprises as the disperse phase obtained by emulsifying a mixture consisting of (A) a linear organosilicon polymer whose main chain is composed of diorganosiloxane units and alkylene units and (B) an oil that is liquid at room temperature. The emulsion can be produced by emulsifying a mixture of (a) a diorganopolysiloxane having silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms at the two ends of the molecular chain, (b) a diolefin or diorganopolysiloxane having silicon-bonded alkenyl groups at the two ends of the molecular chain, and (c) an oil that is liquid at room temperature and does not contain hydrosilation-reactive groups, in water, and, in this state, component (a) and component (b) are addition-polymerized using (d) a hydrosilation reaction catalyst. Cosmetic materials incorporating such aqueous emulsions possess excellent lubricating properties, good dispersibility, and adherence; a method of preparation of the emulsion; and skin and hair cosmetic materials prepared from the emulsion with excellent sensation of smoothness and moistness to the touch.
