摘要: A method is disclosed of three-dimensional (3D) free-form printing for coating free-form objects, the method including: arranging a free-form object in a Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) trough filed with a liquid, the LB trough designed based on a shape of the free-form object; arranging an LB film comprising a plurality of colloidal nanospheres on a surface of the liquid within the LB trough; and draining the liquid from the LB trough to form a self-assemble film of the colloidal nanoparticles on a surface of the free-form object.

摘要: The present disclosure describes thermoformable sheets capable of retaining an absorbing stain, pigmented sealer or clear sealer. The unique resin binder formulations and products include porosity-promoting agents that result in the resin binder having a porous surface capable of being stained, while still having the favorable properties of traditional Thermofoil products. The methods of the invention produce a Thermofoil product that can be stained with a variety of stains and colorants after manufacturing to suit the individual builder's or homeowner's preference.

The aerosol generating article (2) further comprises a non-combustible coating (42) provided on the upstream portion of the combustible heat source (4) and not on the downstream portion of the combustible heat source (4), the non-combustible coating having a thickness of between about 30 micrometres and about 250 micrometres.

摘要: The present invention provides water-based coatings that provide liquid resistance when applied to various substrates. The coatings are particularly suitable for cellulosic substrates such as paper or paper board. In addition to liquid resistance, the coatings have good heat sealability, and are resistant to roll blocking. Preferably, the coatings are recyclable and/or repulpable with the substrates to which they are applied. The coating compositions comprise one or more polymer binders, and one or more particles. Preferably, at least one polymer binder has a glass transition temperature (Tg) less than 10° C. Preferably, at least one polymer binder has a heat seal onset temperature of less than 200° C. Preferably, at least one particle has a mean particle size greater than 4 μm. It is also preferable that the particles have a melting point greater than 60° C.

摘要: The invention provides an electrodepositable coating composition comprising a resinous phase dispersed in an aqueous medium, said resinous phase comprising: (1) an ungelled active hydrogen-containing, cationic salt group-containing resin; (2) an at least partially blocked polyisocyanate curing agent; and (3) a pigment component, wherein the pigment component comprises an inorganic, platelike pigment present in the resinous phase, wherein the electrodepositable coating composition contains less than 8 percent by weight of a grind vehicle, based on the total weight of solids in the electrodepositable coating composition. The invention also provides methods of improving the corrosion resistance of a metal substrate and coated substrates.

摘要: The invention provides a method of improving the corrosion resistance of a metal substrate. The method comprises:
(a) electrophoretically depositing on the substrate a curable electrodepositable coating composition to form a coating over at least a portion of the substrate, and
(b) heating the substrate to a temperature and for a time sufficient to cure the coating on the substrate. The electrodepositable coating composition comprises a resinous phase dispersed in an aqueous medium, the resinous phase comprising:
(1) an ungelled active hydrogen-containing, cationic salt group-containing resin electrodepositable on a cathode;
(2) an at least partially blocked polyisocyanate curing agent; and
(3) a pigment component comprising an inorganic, platelike pigment having an average equivalent spherical diameter of at least 0.2 microns. The electrodepositable coating composition demonstrates a pigment-to-binder ratio of at least 0.5. The coating composition contains less than 8 percent by weight of a grind vehicle.
