    摘要: A method of producing a hollow piston for a compressor including a head and an engaging portion for engaging a piston reciprocating drive device, at least the head portion being hollow, the method comprising the steps of: forming a cylindrical body member having an open end at at least one of its opposite ends, and a closure member closing the open end of the body member, one of the body and closure members having an annular shoulder surface and a circumferential surface which is adjacent to the shoulder surface, the shoulder and circumferential surfaces defining a female corner portion, the other member having a male corner portion corresponding to the female corner portion; and fixing the body and closure members together for engagement of the male and female corner portions, and wherein the step of forming the body and closure members comprises at least one of (a) a step of forming an annular groove at a position of one of the shoulder and circumferential surfaces of the female corner portion, the position being adjacent to the other surface, and (b) a step of forming an edge-free part in the male corner portion.

    摘要: A piston for a swash plate type compressor, including a head portion slidably fitted in a cylinder bore in a cylinder block of the compressor, a neck portion slidably engaging a swash plate of the compressor, and a connecting portion connecting the head and neck portions, wherein the head portion comprises a circular body portion, and an inner sliding projection extending toward the neck portion from a radially inner circumferential part of the body portion which corresponds to a radially inner portion of the cylinder block. The inner sliding projection has a sliding surface for sliding contact with an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder bore. The sliding surface is symmetrical with respect to a plane including centerlines of the piston and the cylinder block. The connecting portion connects the inner sliding projection and the neck portion.

    摘要: A compressor that reduces pressure pulsation includes a mounting member for attaching the compressor to a vehicle support. The mounting member is integrally formed with an end wall of a rear housing member. A suction chamber and a discharge chamber are defined in the rear housing member. The discharge chamber is located outside the suction chamber and surrounds the suction chamber. An auxiliary chamber is formed in the mounting member. The auxiliary chamber is centrally located. The auxiliary chamber increases the volume of the suction chamber, which reduces pulsation. Since the auxiliary chamber is formed in the mounting member, neither the weight or the volume of parts that might interfere with other devices is increased.

    摘要: A compressor having a housing formed by a plurality of housing members that are connected together is disclosed. The compressor is configured in such a manner that refrigerant is compressed in the housing and discharged to the exterior. Each of the housing members contains 9 to 17 percent by mass of Si, 3.5 to 6 percent by mass of Cu, 0.2 to 1.2 percent by mass of Mg, 0.2 to 1.5 percent by mass of Fe, 0 to 1 percent by mass of Mn, 0.5 percent by mass or less of Ni, and a remaining portion containing Al and unavoidable impurities. It is preferred that the average hardness of each housing member is adjusted to HV130 to HV170 through solution heating in which the housing member is maintained at the treatment temperature of 450° C. to 510° C. for 0.5 hours or longer, followed by water quenching, and then by aging treatment in which the housing member is maintained at the treatment temperature of 170° C. to 230° C. for one to twenty-four hours after the c housing member is cast.
