A lightweight damper pulley is provided which can be produced in a simple manner. The damper pulley includes a central portion, a belt retaining portion made of metal plate, and a ring-shaped rubber or elastic member placed therebetween. The central portion includes a cylindrical boss portion to be fixed onto a rotary shaft, a main portion extending radially outwardly from the larger diameter area of the cylindrical boss portion, and a flange bent horizontally from an outer periphery of the main portion. The central portion is integrally formed from a metal plate by press-forming or the like. A pulley is made from a metal plate which is easy to manufacture, inexpensive in manufacturing cost, light weight and sufficient strength by using a press forming technique. The pulley has a thin tubular boss portion and a disk shaped body portion which are integral. The boss portion may have a reinforcing flange at one open end portion. The reinforcing flange aids in providing sufficient strength against the tightening force of a nut which is screwed onto a shaft inserted into the boss portion, and also disperses the tightening force. Further, the pulley may have formed integrally on the boss portion a key member.

This forms a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional profile. The pulley also includes a belt retaining portion made of metal plate that also has a substantially U-shaped cross section profile. This space is determined between an outer belt supporting wall, an inner belt portion flange and a radially extending connecting wall. The pulley is constructed by reversing the two U-shaped profiles or dissecting the belt retaining flange to the interior of the central flange, with an elastic, damping ring forcefit therebetween. The belt retaining flange can also be moved radially outwardly to compress the elastic.

The water-borne metallic color coating composition can provide a coating film having the above-superior properties and an excellent flip-flop property, by a two-coating and one-baking application method, without disturbing the orientation of the luster color pigment(s) therein before/after an application of a clear coating composition and without adversely effecting on the flip-flop property.The present invention provides a water-borne metallic color coating composition comprising a film forming resin, a curing agent and a luster color pigment, wherein the film forming resin comprises an acrylic resin emulsion, which is obtainable by a two-stage emulsion polymerization, and which has an acid value within a range of from 1 to 30 mgKOH/g (as a basis of the solid resin content), a hydroxyl value within a range of from 10 to 150 mgKOH/g (as a basis of the solid resin content), and a particle size within a range of from 20 to 140 nm, and the curing agent is an aqueous dispersion of a hydrophobic melamine resin having a particle size within a range of from to 140 nm.

The present invention is a method of preparing an acrylic copolymer using as a raw material a monomer mixture comprising 50 mole % or more of a monomer having a polymerizable double bond formed by a carbon atom to which no hydrogen atom is bonded and a carbon atom to which a hydrogen atom is bonded, wherein after the polymerization is carried out at a polymerization temperature of 150° C. or higher, further heating at 80-130° C. is done. The present invention can provide a method of preparing an acrylic copolymer with a low amount of unreacted monomers using high temperature polymerization at 150° C. or higher.

A forging punch of the present invention includes: an outer punch of a cylindrical shape; and an inner punch disposed in the outer punch and protruding from an end surface of the outer punch; at least one of the punches having at least one groove for relieving oil formed either on an inner peripheral surface of the outer punch or on an outer peripheral surface of the inner punch. Therefore, an oil remaining between the end surface of the outer punch and the bottom surface of a workpiece is relieved to the outside of the forging punch by way of the groove, thereby enabling precise forging. Further, the forging punch has obviated additional processing, because no traces of the groove are marked on the workpiece after processing.

The present invention is a method of preparing an acrylic copolymer having an acid anhydride group with a number average molecular weight of 1,500-5,000 comprising; polymerizing a monomer mixture of a radical polymerizable monomer having an acid anhydride group and another radical polymerizable monomer at a temperature of 150° C. or higher by using a radical initiator, wherein the concentration of the monomer mixture is 50-75 wt %. This method can provide an acrylic copolymer having an acid anhydride group with a relatively low molecular weight that does not cause the problem of yellowing after baking when used in an acid/epoxy curing type clear paint, by means of high temperature polymerization without the use of a large amount of an expensive initiator.
