摘要： An ink jet printer for forming an ink jet printed long strip of cloth includes a design image generation unit, a receiving unit, a generating unit and a synthesizing unit. The design image generation unit generates design image data representing a design image repeatedly using a basic pattern. The receiving unit receives first designation data regarding a logotype mark, while the generating unit repeatedly generates logotype mark image data representing the logotype mark repeatedly using a logotype pattern independently from the repeated using of the basic pattern, in accordance with the first designation data received by the receiving unit. The synthesizing unit repeatedly synthesizes the design image data and the logotype mark image data in a fixed repetitive pattern and supplies the synthesized design and logotype mark image data to an ink jet head, so that an image including the design image and plural repetitive patterns of the logotype mark is printed onto the long strip of cloth along an elongated direction thereof by using the ink jet head.

Hence, a desired repeated image or the rotated image is outputted to a printer.

The system includes an input unit, a selection unit, an extraction unit, a designation unit and a print controller. The input unit inputs image data of a basic image, while the selection unit selects a design pattern for repeatedly arranging the basic image. The extraction unit extracts at least one design from the image data of the basic image. The designation unit designates whether or not to maintain the continuity of the extracted design in accordance with the selected design pattern, in a case where the ink jet printer restarts printing of the design pattern after interruption of a print operation of the design pattern. The print controller controls the ink jet printer to print the design pattern in accordance with a designation by the designation unit, in the case where the print operation of the design pattern is restarted. The continuity of printed basic images is controlled in accordance with the designation even if the print operation is interrupted.

摘要： An apparatus for performing the printing by scanning a carriage having a plurality of print heads mounted in a predetermined direction relative to the printing medium, so that an image is formed to have a desired color tone and density without decreased throughput. Conversion data for reproducing the color tone and the scan range of the carriage are changed in accordance with the used heads among the mounted heads. Also, the replaceability can be enhanced and the longer life for each group is attained by grouping the heads mounted. Further, the scan range of recording and the scan range for the recovery can be changed by selecting the group for use in accordance with the recording mode. Also, in an ink jet printing apparatus having a longer print length, a printing method for effecting the stable recording is provided.
