    摘要: A base station transmits, in addition to a pilot channel, signals which are multiplexed with pilot symbols inserted in the respective signals in communication channels. As the transmission of the pilot channel as a reference signal for coherent detection is unnecessary with high power so as to attain high reliability, the pilot channel can be transmitted with low power by means of weight in comparison with the communication channel, so that interference with the communication channel of any other station is reduced. Moreover, accurate coherent detection can be made from the pilot symbol inserted in the communication channel on the mobile station side.

    摘要: In addition to a structure of a conventional CDMA/TDD radio communication system, a base station includes a pilot signal generating circuit for generating a pilot signal that has a constant transmission power level and is known in mobile units and a pilot channel spreading circuit for transmitting the pilot signal to the mobile units through a transmission line. Each of the mobile units includes a pilot signal reception level measuring circuit for measuring reception power of the received pilot signal and a transmission power control circuit for controlling transmission power of a power amplification circuit based on the measured reception power of the received pilot signal.

A wireless transmitter for an SS-DS CDMA cellular wireless system operating FDD communications and TDD communications includes an FDD pilot channel for outputting pilot channel signals in an FDD band, an FDD control channel for outputting control channel signals in the FDD band, FDD communications channels for outputting communications channel signals in the FDD band, a TDD pilot channel for outputting pilot channel signals in a TDD band, and a TDD communications channel for outputting communication channel signals in the TDD band. The wireless transmitter does not have a TDD control channel for outputting control channel signals in the TDD band. Control channel signals are transmitted only in the FDD band.

    摘要: An error detection method used for digital communication which intends to reduce the probability of outputting the speech obtained by decoding the data that includes an error. The speech data encoded in an error detection code and an error correction code is transmitted. On a receiving side, the data with an error detected in either one of decoding of the error correction code and CRC checking is interpolated so that it is possible to prevent the data which actually includes an error from being decoded into speech as it is.

    摘要: Symbol 102 that is spread with the only short spreading code and inserted in synchronism with a long spreading code is specified by detecting the correlation with only the short spreading code. Next, another short spreading code indicative of a timing of reverse and forward link switching is specified, where the short spreading code is multiplexed at the same position as that of the detected symbol. The detection of the symbols spread with only these spreading codes enables to acquire synchronization of the long spreading code, synchronization of switching of reverse and forward links, and synchronization of a transmission frame. It is thereby possible to reduce synchronization acquisition time for the long spreading and an easy planning of base station locations without decreasing the frequency utilization efficiency.

Each of a plurality of transmission antenna selecting circuits operates to determine from which antenna a transmission signal is to be transmitted for every channel. Each of a plurality of multiplexing circuits operates to multiplex the transmission signals of the individual channels, which are spread, for every antenna. As a result, on the basis of the result of the comparison of the correlation levels with respect to the antennas, a transmission antenna is selected for every channel, and the signals of the channels that are to be transmitted by a given antenna are multiplexed, whereby the base station achieves transmission diversity.

    摘要: The invention intends to improve an error correcting capability in an error correction encoding/decoding apparatus. On the encoding side, after a fixed bit of 0 or 1 was inserted into information signal series to be convolutional correction encoded, the resultant information signal series is convolutionally encoded.     摘要: The invention provides greater error correction capability in an error correction encoding/decoding system of a digital mobile telephone or so forth. In a viterbi decoding system at a receiver side, a branch metric is calculated and stored without selecting a path with respect to a plurality of branches corresponding to a parameter having a correlation between frames. Also, by utilizing a separately stored parameter value in a previous frame, a transition probability of the parameter value in the current frame is obtained, a metric value of a path is converted and added to an accumulated path metric value up to the previous branch, a comparison of the metric values at various states is performed to select the path having higher likelihood to perform decoding by maximum likelihood decoding.
