摘要： Device and method for fixing an image in which a vibrator, which generates ultrasonic waves by applying a voltage, and a horn connected thereto are arranged opposite a pressure roller with an endless belt passing between the horn and the pressure roller. Recording paper is carried between the belt and the pressure roller so that an image surface thereof is brought into contact with a rubber layer on the endless belt. Ultrasonic vibration is transmitted to the image surface of the traveling recording paper via the belt, thereby directly heating and melting toner so that the image is fixed on the recording paper.

摘要： An ultrasonic vibration tool is made of a block of substantially rectangular parallelepiped form, and has its one end face formed as an output end face, and has its other end face opposite the output end face formed as an input end face. An ultrasonic oscillator is connected to the input end face for transmitting a longitudinal standing wave to the output end face. Peripheries of the input and output end faces of the block constitute mass portions. Between the mass portions are formed slits at a pitch less than a half of an oscillation wavelength, whereby a plurality of elastic portions are obtained. The mass portion on the input end face side has a protrusion having a height equal to or less than a quarter of the oscillation wavelength, thereby obtaining a mass distribution. Hence, a uniform amplitude distribution is achieved in the output end face.

摘要： An image forming apparatus has a toner carrier and a toner passing control having a plurality of toner passing holes for controlling passage of a toner. The toner passing control has upstream side secured, the downstream side extended by a spring, and is contacted with a stay on the downstream side of the contact point with the toner carrier, so that corrugation deformation is prevented. A vibrating plate and an ultrasonic vibration generator are coupled through a coupling portion, thereby relative displacement between the vibrating plate and the ultrasonic vibration generator is allowed. A detachable toner cartridge is formed by integrating a developing roller and a toner storing container.

Plate-shaped members 14, 15, 17 and 18 lying between the ink liquid chambers 13 and having a piezoelectric plate member capable of discharging ink in the ink liquid chambers are arranged by being laminated in the arrangement direction of the nozzles 11a. By this configuration, a multi-nozzle ink jet printing head with high-density nozzle arrangement can be realized.

摘要： Changes of ink properties are prevented in an ink jet recording head, an ink cartridge, and a recording apparatus which include ink containing a dye having an anion group, a humectant, a penetrant, water, and a hydrolyzable silane compound having an amino group. Resin or rubber which contains a hydrogen ion releasing additive is used for a member of the apparatus with which ink for ink jet recording comes in contact. The content of the additive in the material is not less than 0.001% by mass and not more than 0.1% by mass. The additive includes at least an acid, a ketone, and a functional group of ester each of which exhibits acidic properties.
