    摘要: An image recording apparatus is provided which records an image by scanning, relatively to a recording medium, a line-type recording head unit in a direction substantially perpendicular to a predetermined direction, wherein the line-type recording head unit includes a plurality of recording heads which are disposed in a direction substantially the same as the predetermined direction and which have recording width that partially overlap each other and wherein each of the recording heads has a plurality of recording elements disposed in a direction substantially the same as the predetermined direction. The image recording apparatus includes a correction data generator for producing correction data for correcting characteristics of respective recording elements at two-dimensional positions on the recording medium, and an adjustment unit for adjusting an input image signal inputted to the recording elements at the two-dimensional positions, based on the correction data.

A binarized image data storage unit stores binarized image data for on-off control of the recording elements of the recording head. A correction data storage unit stores density irregularity correction data for correcting irregularities in density which occur when the recording elements of the recording head are respectively driven to form the image for each of the recording elements. A density irregularity correction unit corrects, prior to the image formation, the binarized image data stored in the binarized image data storage unit on the basis of the density irregularity correction data stored in the correction data storage unit.

    摘要: An image display processing apparatus receives input illuminant information relating to input illuminant illuminating object when photographing, input device information specifying input characteristic of a photographing device, and image signal. Spectral reflectance image signal of the object is obtained from the image signal, the input illuminant information, and the input device information. Rendering light is applied to the spectral reflectance image signal, and output to a display device. A spectrum of light emitted from a variable characteristic illumination device for illuminating a display viewing environment can be varied. Spectrum of observing illuminant illuminating the display viewing environment is measured by a spectrometer unit. A spectrum of the rendering light is determined to substantially match with a spectrum of the input illuminant. The spectrum of the light emitted from the variable characteristic illumination device may be adjusted to substantially match the spectra of both the rendering light and the observing illuminant.

An image correction apparatus for the printing apparatus includes a printer, reader, correction coefficient calculation unit, image correction unit, and smoothing unit. The printer prints a predetermined correction chart so as to ensure a partially overlapping region in a region printed by main scanning of the print heads. The reader reads a printed image of the predetermined correction chart printed by the printer. The correction coefficient calculation unit calculates a predetermined correction coefficient on the basis of the printed image of the predetermined correction chart read by the reader. The image correction unit performs predetermined image correction in advance for printing image signals input to the print heads, on the basis of the predetermined correction coefficient calculated by the correction coefficient calculation unit. The smoothing unit performs, for the printing image signals input to the print heads, signal processing for smoothing in advance a density value at a portion corresponding to the overlapping region with respect to a density value at a portion other than the portion corresponding to the overlapping region.
