Abstract:
When trial printing is executed in a repeat printing mode, trial printing is performed in size of an image of one piece in a layout in which a plurality of images are supposed to be printed in the repeat printing mode normally. A user who has checked a finished state of the trial printing sets, when the finished state is in a desired state, the recording paper on which the trial printing is performed to the paper feed portion again and executes the repeat printing. Thereby, in a blank space excluding a print image which is printed with a first time trial printing, a scheduled quantity of a plurality of images are repeatedly printed.
Abstract:
An image matching device includes a section calculates feature points on an input document image, a section that calculates features of the input document image in accordance with a relative position between the calculated feature points, and sections for comparing the calculated features of the input document image with features of a reference document image to determine whether the input document image is similar to the reference document image. When it is determined that the input and reference documents are similar, a document discrimination section determines a position of an image on the input document and similar to the reference document image, in accordance with the positions of the coordinates of the feature points on the input document and on the reference document.
Abstract:
A printing device includes a printing unit which prints an image on a sheet according to a print command, a judgment unit which judges whether a total adhesion amount of a print agent adhering to the sheet for the image printing exceeds a prescribed threshold value based on inputted print data, and a control unit which executes a process for reducing the total adhesion amount of the print agent when the total adhesion amount is judged to exceed the threshold value by the judgment unit.
Abstract:
Embodiments receive a printing command to print a document file. The document file comprises a plurality of document pages, and each of the document pages comprises markings (e.g., textural and/or graphical elements). The embodiments automatically combine a plurality of the document pages on at least one side of a printing sheet (both sides for duplex printing). The embodiments also automatically insert blank pages (blank cells) adjacent each of the document pages on the printing sheet. Thus, with embodiments herein a blank page or cell automatically appears next to each of the document pages on the printing sheet. Then, the embodiments herein can automatically perform the simplex or duplex printing of the printing sheet.
Abstract:
An image recording device comprises: a first and second recording heads (11, 12) formed of recording elements cyclically arrayed, which are continuously arrayed with an overlapped region; image data distributing means (2) for distributing image data to these recording heads (11, 12); image data distribution region variation means (3) for setting an image data distribution region where the image data of each pixel is distributed to both the recording heads (11, 12) by the image data distributing means 2; correction parameter storage means (5) for storing a correction parameter for correcting the difference in the image density properties between the image data distribution region and the other region due to phase difference between the recording heads (11, 12); and image data correcting means (4) for correcting the image data in the image data distribution region based upon the correction parameter.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, an intermediate transfer drum, a divisional image forming system for forming image segments into which an image to be formed is divided on the intermediate transfer drum one by one, a sheet feeding mechanism for feeding a recording sheet, and a transfer device for transferring an image segment from the intermediate transfer drum to a recording sheet fed by the sheet feeding mechanism every time the image segment is formed on the intermediate transfer drum. A control unit for controlling the sheet feeding mechanism and the transfer device is also provided so that the image segments formed by the divisional image forming system are successively transferred from the intermediate transfer drum to the recording sheet so as to be continuous with each other.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device that forms an image on a recording medium and circuitry that controls the image forming device. The image forming device forms an invisible image with an invisible material on the recording medium and forms a visible image with a visible material on the invisible image. Each of first and second adhesion amounts includes respective adhesion amounts of the visible material and the invisible material per unit area in a portion, in which the visible image is formed on the invisible image, of the composite image. The second adhesion amount is smaller than the first adhesion amount. The controller adjusts the amount of the invisible material included in the second adhesion amount to be smaller than that included in the first adhesion amount, to cause the image forming device to form the image according to the second adhesion amount.
Abstract:
An image forming device includes: a storing unit that stores image data of plural pages, an operating unit and a setting unit that sets the number of sheets used for N-up printing of the plural pages. A determining unit determines the number of pages aggregated on a single side of a single sheet when N-up printing is performed using the number of sheets set by the setting unit. An orientation selecting unit selects a paper orientation that lowers a reduction ratio of a page when N-up printing is performed on the number of pages determined by the determining unit. An image forming unit uses the image data stored in the storing unit to form images of the plural pages onto sheets according to the number of sheets set by the setting unit, the number of pages determined by the determining unit, and the selected paper orientation.
Abstract:
A method and system for printing image documents using a variety of toners where some toners using a multi-development station having two or more development stations. These toners are co-printed prior to fixing, on the receiver by the multi-development station.
Abstract:
An image arranging device arranging an image in a predetermined region, includes: a regulation obtaining section that obtains an arrangement regulation of the image in the region; and a data obtaining section that obtains print image data which represents a print image to be printed on a print medium and in which a finish size of a printed matter is designated. The device further includes: a protrusion removal section that, regarding the print image represented by the print image data obtained by the data obtaining section, obtains an image portion protruding from the finish size designated by the print image data and removes the obtained image portion; and an image arranging section that, regarding the print image represented by the print image data, arranges an image portion remaining after the removal by the protrusion removal section in the region according to the arrangement regulation obtained by the regulation obtaining section.
