    摘要： A disc drive includes a base and a disc rotatably attached to the base. The disc drive also includes an actuator assembly rotatably attached to said base and a device for moving the actuator assembly. A cover is attached to the base. The combination of the cover and base form a disc enclosure for enclosing the disc the actuator assembly and the device for moving the actuator assembly. An inertia ring is attached to the disc enclosure for increasing the moment of inertia of the base and cover. The inertia ring may be attached to the cover or to the base. The inertia ring may be formed of a material which is more dense than the cover or more dense than the base. The inertia ring may also be formed integral with the base or the cover. The inertia ring may also be formed such that the material is positioned near the periphery of the base and attached cover. A damped interface between the inertia ring and the base or cover may further reduce movement of the base with respect to the actuator.

    摘要： A package system which combines an article and a container in an integrated package with the article secured in nested relationship within a recess of the container. The recess has sufficient depth such that portions of the side walls of the container extend outwardly effectively beyond an exposed surface of the article so as to protect the article against damage. Alternatively, the package system includes a pair of spaced columns which are integrally formed with the side wall of the container and which extend outwardly from the side wall. A recess is formed between the column members which is configured to receive an article in nested relationship within the recess. Methods for securing the article in nested relationship within the recess of the container are also disclosed.

A rear insert including a generally cylindrical front portion is inserted into the front housing through the circular rear opening, the front portion defining at least one longitudinal flat configured to reduce the overall diameter of the generally cylindrical front portion configured to be inserted into the front housing.

The printed circuit board includes a memory storage device that is configured to store physical layer information pertaining to the fiber optic connector arrangement. The printed circuit board also defines contacts that are electrically coupled to the memory storage device to enable the physical layer information to be read from the memory storage device by a media reading interface. A connector assembly includes at least one adapter assembly; a printed circuit board; and a media reading interface. The connector assembly also may include a tactile pressure sensor. The adapter assembly defines at least a first port and a second port that are configured to connect optical fibers of two connector arrangements. One or more connector assemblies can be mounted to a fiber panel system.
