The ink-jet recording sheet has a specular gloss specified by JIS Z8741, of at least 20 percent at 60 degrees of the surface of said ink absorbable layer, and exhibits the specular gloss such that 60-degree specular gloss of an ink-recorded part is 3 percent more than that of a nonink-recorded part.
