摘要： A gas turbine engine compressor has a number of shroud rings, at least a bleed one of which defines a number of bleed ports. A structural hub is downstream of the shroud rings and secured relative to the shroud rings. A structural hub case extends from an aft joint with the structural hub to a fore joint with a joined one of the shroud rings and has a number of valve ports. At least a portion of the structural case extends structurally between the fore and aft joints. A valve element is shiftable between first and second conditions for respectively blocking and not blocking communication through the valve ports.

摘要： A stator assembly for a rotary machine having a shroud for a stator vane is disclosed. Various construction details are developed which limit movement of the stator vane into the flowpath by reason of the stator vane being restrained by the shroud. In one particular embodiment, a clip member extends through an opening in the tip of the vane and is disposed at a location adjacent a nonflowpath surface of the shroud to restrain the tip of the vane against inward movement through the shroud.

In one embodiment clearances are established between rotor blades (66) and the seal land (86) which enable assembly of the components and provide for acceptable clearances at a steady-state operative condition of the engine.

摘要： A method for assembling a rotary machine, such as a gas turbine engine, having rotor elements and associated seal lands. Various details of the method are developed for facilitating assembly of the rotary machine that are, in one embodiment, applicable to installing fan blades to a fan rotor disk while rotating the rotor disk by hand. In one embodiment, a lubricant is applied to a seal land to reduce friction between the rotor element and the seal land during assembly.
