摘要: A multiphase pump for conveying a multiphase process fluid from a low pressure side to a high pressure side includes an outer housing, a casing, the casing having a pump inlet and a pump outlet for the process fluid, and a pump rotor capable of rotating about an axial direction arranged within the casing, and configured to convey the process fluid from the pump inlet to the pump outlet. The casing includes a plurality of stage segments, and the plurality of stage segments include an individual stage-segment, a low pressure segment arranged at the pump inlet and a high pressure segment arranged at the pump outlet, the individual stage-segment arranged between the high pressure segment and the low pressure segment, and the plurality of stage segments being held together by a sealing support structure, the casing being arranged within the outer housing.

摘要: A turbomachinery component of a gas turbine engine is disclosed having a number of techniques of reducing the effects of a gap flow between an airfoil member of the gas turbine engine and a wall of the gas turbine engine. The airfoil member can be variable and in one form is a variable turbine vane. In one embodiment a brush seal is included between the vane and the wall. In another form a wear surface is disposed between the vane and the wall. In yet another form a moveable member capable of being actuated to change position can be disposed between the vane and the wall to alter the size of a gap between the two.

A gear system is connected to the fan shaft and driven through an input. A gear system flex mount arrangement accommodates misalignment of the fan shaft and the input during operation and includes a flexible support that defines a flexible support lateral stiffness that is less than 11% of the frame lateral stiffness.

An electric machine is positioned at least partially inward of the core air flowpath of the gas turbine engine along a radial direction of the gas turbine engine. Additionally, the exemplary gas turbine engine includes a gear assembly mechanically coupled to both the first spool and the second spool, such that the first and second spools may each drive the electric machine.

摘要: A fan assembly is provided. The fan assembly includes a fan, a fan casing circumscribing the fan, and a fan casing heating system in thermal communication with the fan casing. The fan includes a hub, and a plurality of fan blades extending from the hub. Each fan blade of the plurality of fan blades terminates at a respective blade tip. A clearance gap is defined between the fan casing and the blade tips. The fan casing heating system is configured to apply heat to the fan casing when the fan is operating in a first operational mode, and remove the applied heat when the fan transitions into a second operational mode.
